James Whister, 24 Aug 2020Just asking, in daily use, does 120z really matter? And what's there except smooth scrolling? It makes a world of difference. Not only scrolling, gaming and overall the phone feels a lot faster.
I guess they are afraid to have so many downsides, that it would not be a 'good launch'.
I think Apple fans will be more than happy to wait couple of weeks more to get the 120Hz screen. Or next wait will be long.
Wait 1 month or 1 year to get 120Hz ?

Arkiki Langstang, 24 Aug 2020There is no issue for its regular user but for gamer its a big issue. Pubg soon will release 9... moreI would argue it's the other way around - most of the games you mention are abysmal and have poor optimalization, they will hit 120 fps only with low graphic settings.
On the other hand more pleasant scroling and browsing is imho more important than some hal-fa$$ed PC port.
Arkiki Langstang, 24 Aug 2020There is no issue for its regular user but for gamer its a big issue. Pubg soon will release 9... moreiPhone already have 120hz touch. Good for gamers.
120hz refresh will be good when scrolling thru text and websites.
Not much content, videos or games will be at 120hz. Unless Apple do it. They know. When the King starts it, the peasants will follow.
There is no issue for its regular user but for gamer its a big issue. Pubg soon will release 90fps and later some time the 120fps.

ASUS ROG Phone 3, 24 Aug 2020I don’t need 5G, I don’t need 120 Hz, I hate AMOLED 🤣🤣🤣 welcome to Apple field of distortion!! Well, to tell you the truth I am more excited about the iphone 12 (5.4") model. Probably most Apple average users too.
The ones who were waiting for the iphone 12 Pro, can go and buy the Note 20 Ultra or something.
Anonymous, 24 Aug 2020Yes, the poco f2 pro should've be 90hz, Well, Realme 6 is a 250EUR (the 4GB variant) phone and it has 90Hz display. But I read and watch reviews about it, that is not the same feeling as the more expensive phones who have 90Hz+ displays. Also, not all apps take advantage of that higher refresh rate. So..what's the catch in here? We have 90Hz displays or not?
Anonymous, 24 Aug 2020neither razer or sony has 120hz panel stop spresd liesYes they do have 120hz. Learn a bit more.
