http://wmpoweruser.com/nokia-putting-in-windows-phone-orders-from-foxconn-also/
Samsung build their own units completely, They don't make any part in Foxccon or Compal like Nokia and the others!
can i just ask,
have any of you put a wet phone in a microwave?
it gets alot worse then that,
two words,
Massive payout.
Signs secrecy act, problem solved

Amit Dey, 07 Jul 2012From the picture it is appearing the damage occurred while charging the phone. How SASMSUNG pr... moreget over yourself you hater. if you're truly talking about "third world countries", why the hell would someone from there want to buy such an expensive phone? stuff like that takes months worth of pay to afford in those countries (years of salaries in some of the worse off ones).
They should have given us the video so that people would believe it.
keamron, 07 Jul 2012Right a guy having so expensive phone , will think of drying it it in oven, its totally redicu... moreit's not that silly
single male's in the UK are notorious for using microwaves as a cheap fast dryer. ask any of them about drying clothes after a wash.
the whole point of the microwave is to heat up "water" particles. most of the time that water gets hot enough that it turns into steam. at which point using it to remove excess moisture can make sense.
the stupid part of drying the phone in the microwave is that almost everything has water in it. anything plastic in the device will have some level of water content in it. "microwave safe" plastics just have very very low water content.
it's then easy to tell if the plastic has been microwaved as the plastic will go from being smooth to looking wavy / warped / lumpy.
so no. the "friend" that was helping mend the phone from water damage was just an idiot that thought he knew better. overall, he would have been much better off leaving the phone in uncooked rice overnight to draw mout the moisture.
Tux, 07 Jul 2012Exactly, i expect my comment was revoked. But i don't believe any of this. Samsung would have ... moreMillions of SGS3s have been sold, only one had this happen, if it was a legitimate Fault with the phone, don't you think it would happen more often? The guy who used his phone is obviously just an idiot, and i'm certain that there is a high chance that an idiot would do this.
Anonymous, 07 Jul 2012I can imagine if this was Apple they would probably want him extradited to the U.S for prosecu... moreHmm.. sort of true, the koreans will put him in the pit of 'Death' and he will have to battle his way out against the top 10 Starcraft 2 players of Korea. Good luck!
Amit Dey, 07 Jul 2012From the picture it is appearing the damage occurred while charging the phone. How SASMSUNG pr... moreYou should read the article to the end... The user admitted that "another person" was trying to mend the phone after it being water damaged.
Sounds very suspicious, and the way the guy 'owns up' as well. As if he were told what to say. Ah well, not that I care, will stick to Nokia for now.
Amit Dey, 07 Jul 2012From the picture it is appearing the damage occurred while charging the phone. How SASMSUNG pr... moreHow can anyone in the world tell from looking at a photo on the internet whether or not it was being charged at the time of the incident? It's just as impossible to tell which road he was driving along, what music he was listening to and what colour shoes he was wearing from the same photo.
Just like the President Kennedy assasination and famous conspiracies,we might never know the actual answer to this one.All I can confirm is that my very own white Galaxy S3 runs cooler than my Galaxy S did.
I thoughf this was strange from the start as being an engineer myself I know for a fact this damage cohld not just happen and i even suggested in a previous article this could be done by a mictowave as i have seen idiots do it in the past to dry out a water damaged device and the exact same outcome. This idiot was just chancing his arm and maybe thought if he shouted loud enough samsung would just give him one to shut him up as any company would to avoid bad publicity while it was investegated. Chancers like this should be made pay for the damage they caused the company.
Anonymous, 07 Jul 2012The phone was exposed to water and the owner tried to dry it in the microwave ?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!... moreRight a guy having so expensive phone , will think of drying it it in oven, its totally rediculous,
company must have done something shit on the issue
