Misinformation is terrible...In JerryRigEverything's durability test video, the model clearly says SM-N986N which is a snapdragon variant in korea. And it's the same phone with the same burn mark from both videos. Therefore, Note20 ultra in his teardown video is actually a snapdragon variant from Korea not an Exynos

It is one of those "use expensive parts at first for reviewers and early adapters and switch to cheaper parts later" thing Samsung always do. Like early batch of phone using SONY sensor and switch to Samsung sensor on later batches.

they should abandon either one ... moreIn that case it would have to be Snapdragon everywhere, due to a very old contract, which states they can't sell non Snapdragon chipset based phones in the US, a big market.
But something tells me they're getting some things right with Exynos, whether its user privacy or something else... That's why they're pushing it despite its flaws.
Its just a suspicion though, I don't have a proof.
Exynos 990 is proving to be a slouch even in front of Snapdragon 855 non plus. Plus, heating is also reported and I don't know where they're going actually...
Its somewhat faster than SD 845, thank God.

Well samsung is going same way as apple couating rotten apples in gold and selling them for price of a diamonds.
To be ghonest this tsrategy will last only as long as Note 7 was on sale.
When the heating will be a problem which cant be solved the phone gets banned.
