A great example of great use of OLEDs for phones are the truly trusted brands for displays, specifically Samsung, Apple, LG, and Sony (and some Japanese ones too, like Sharp).
Their flagship phones with OLED screens are of higher quality ones because of how much better they are engineered.
It's much more like IPS LCDs, where the panels of $500 phones are definitely superior to those found in $200 phones.
Perhaps this time I'd give Samsung a suspicion due to the green tint issues when in high refresh rate mode, but in the past they clearly have made some good quality panels for their higher end models at least, and same is true for Apple, LG, and definitely for Sony, who managed to master the panel for smartphones in just one trial (Xperia XZ3).
What we need to do right now is to get every display manufacturer to invest more on the R&D of this technology so that it would gradually progress further to the point where there wouldn't be any shortcoming no more.
I guess they don't like the idea of investing to this technology, as it relies on using organic materials to work, and it's a well-known limitation that organic components do degrade really quickly, so perhaps the development of microLED is the way to go.

Had prior version. Tje phone bricked itself in the one year watranty period. The company refused to fix, they said they can look at it at a price similar to the new phone price.
No thanks. Lost all pics, data, and $.
This was in the US, maybe this co. decides on a better approach in other markets.

LCD is much better. Never had an issues with blacks on LCD, it's just ... black. Not sure how much blacker one wants it to be. But all the OLED problems I do have an issue with.

It has better thermal management system so that better frame stability and less thermal throttling in games and both models have 6000mah battery.

Well done Asus. Credit to you... All those that complain about the ZenFone 7. You don't have to buy it and no one is forcing you to buy it, stop complaining. It's about personal choice to your own liking. No smartphone will ever be perfect for each and everyone's individual personal use. For me, it is a definite buy...

it's AMOLED DisplayAll oled panels for mobile are amoled.
Even those advertised as just oled (Apple, LG and Sony).
No phone has passive matrix oled like TV. Because it costs more and spends much more power than active matrix.

If hardware supports 90, nothing can be done.

This and the lack of jack are the only flaws for me.
Also a plus for me is they didn't add a useless 4th cam (like depth or macro) just to be call it a quad cam phone.
