Are you sure you are using a Samsung phone or jus... moreOMG but this is what is the most stupid that you pay for almost 7 inch phone and use only almost half of the screen since some stupid engineering. What is the usage of this small tint of the screen between frame and a hole? I hate notch but water drop notch is 100% more useful than a floating notch aka punch hole. I am not using Samsung phones since Galaxy S8+ and I was loyal to the brand since galaxy s2. I had smartwatches, TV tablets from Samsung since they made the best screens and now I am also using Samsung Amoled screen but with no notch or punch hole - OnePlus 7 Pro.

Android just "works".

Punch hole to the corner is pretty non intrusive unless it's in the center like in Samsung phones.
Notch is the worst.
I'll rather take a tiny bezel over some ugly notch.

Putting the camera in a corner makes you look like you're talking to someone else on a video call, as you're staring past whomever you're speaking to.

Maybe for you there is no difference. For me it feature/bug that kills it. I was trying to use Galaxy 10+ and I just could not focus on any content since the hole was screaming at me all the time! Most of apss will cut your screen to hide punch hole and if not you just have HOLE IN YOUR SCREEN!

Why stupid companies stopped maki... moreI believe I heard an interesting argument that is could be influenced by big countries that usually have a mobile phone as their center of the multimedia universe, their go to device for everything "IT" related.
I mean for Europe, NA etc. the notion of not having PC, laptop, tablet and a phone in their household might sound far fetched, but in other countries they migh as well use only phone ... and for them big one is probably the best one.
Anyway it's even interesting to see a trend reversed, when few years back the big phones were usually the midrange and best (Xiaomi Mi Max, Huawei P8 Max etc.).

Average upgrades, very hefty price tags, saturated markets, government bans, COVID-19 and you expect mobile phone markets to hit the ceiling! Not surprising! The trend will be the same unless all parameters are addressed
