X7Pro is shaping up as the first high-profile Realme smartphone in its short history, to be widely remembered and recognized, to help define the new Realme.

Based on leaks:
X7 Pro: Dimensity 1000+; (Confirmed)
X7: Dimensity 800U, world premiere; (Confirmed)
X7 Player: world premiere with SD860, the first near-flagship Qualcomm SoC with integrated 5G. (Not yet confirmed)

According to an Realme executive, the launch event (9-1-2020) will have three world firsts:
First D800U based smartphone? First SD860 based smartphone? The thinnest 5G smartphone to date (rumored to be 7.5mm)?

The availability of X7 series outside its domestic 5G market:
- X7 Pro: unlikely in the near future.
Primary reason: D1000+ supply way below demand for the released and the upcoming models. (Many new phones using D1000+ are in the pipeline.)
Secondary reason: MediaTek executives want the limited supply be used for 5G phones in 5G market, not used as legacy 4G phones in legacy 4G market.
- X7 Player: unknown. Wide availability of SD860 is likely in the near future.
- X7: unknown. Wide availability of D800U is likely in the near future.

It is important to remind everyone: The transition to 5G smartphone is irreversible, regardless how 5G infrastructure is shaping up in many legacy 4G markets. This transition will be complete and total in near future, in months, not in years. All new SoCs (mid-ranger and up) from MediaTek and Qualcomm with come with an integrated 5G modem. ("5G premium" is disappearing as we speak. All new 5G phones will be used as "better" 4G phones in legacy 4G markets. 4G users with 5G phones will not pay extra for unused features.)

4G is dead in the sense that all new developments will be directed towards 5G.

All about this phone is great, except that humongous slogan on the back. I don't like using case so this one is out for me.

This chipset is honestly a great competitior to the dimensity 1000L.

Hopefully it will be cheaper compared to the snapdragon 865.

This also fits perfectly with the oneplus nord.

As for SD860 it can be a downclocked 865 and why do I get the feeling that only this version will make it outside China and Dimensity 1000+ will be reserved for Asian markets
