Xiaomi's stock cam app on my Mi Note 10 is a joke. It over-processes, it crushes the highlights and makes greens and yellows appear oversaturated and tacky.
Even faces show weird artifacts from the smoothing algorithms which cannot be turned off. Then there is the fake zoom which also cannot be turned off and looks terribly overprocessed.
I have to use GCam, which has its own problems, but it's tons better than the stock camera. Even an iPhone 10 shoots much more balanced photos than the stock Xiaomi camera app. It's one of the reasons I don't trust DxOMark and think they are "pay to play" scam review site.

Not gonna lie, the results speaks. The quality come out of it easily one of the best out there.

These massive multiple camera modules are either eating into space for the battery or making phones too large. I would be much happier with 1-2 good cameras and a great camera software like Pixel that will allow for smaller phones and larger batteries.

HDR video is because of cpu, has nothing to do with the sensor.
