Instead of being a smaller version of 1ii, to me sounds like a cut-feature move like OP8 and Mi10. Should be exact like 1ii, just smaller and 1080p.
I wonder who will be the 1st dumb to comment that it has to use 865+ despite being inferior to 1ii.

Xperia 1ii's might also act as an aide to the AF and bokeh. I guess it's about the software. Mu xperia 1 camera finally got to flagship quality after july 2020 patch.

This Xperia must exist just to apply a specification otherwise there is no interest in addition it is very ugly compared to the Xperia 1II

I am quite curious how will the eye focus and general focus works without ToF.
Xperia 1 II performs OKish, but it falls apart with worse light conditions... so let's hope Xperia 5 II won't be worse than that.
