If the game was still playable on MacOS after the ban, then it's Epic to blame for this.
Epic just lost credibility after CCP-based Tencent took over and gained 30% stake. Some right-handed devs reportedly left Epic shortly after. Yes, they have a game engine (Unreal Engine), but this changes nothing. 5% contribution of any game that uses the platform to Epic is greedy if the engine could be just a one-time purchase. Apple gives its Metal API engine for free. Android devs can just enjoy using Unity if it cooperates with ads providers.
Fortnite is also filled up with underage and the gaming community is a joke. Banning some streamers proves it. Hardly other devs ban streamers for any reason.

How it’s unfair? It’s exact same what everyone else asks. Who decide what is the right price for having access to most popular app store in the market? What you get from being in appstore can’t bought with money, expect if you don’t actually pay it for Apple :) or for google.
If developers don’t agree with 30% fee, they can try to sell the apps and games for Android elsewhere with failing badly because hardly no-one would ever hear from you. So which is better.

[deleted post]You have to be young teenager who is still in school if you don't understand that Epic broke contract and they didn't do it accidentally. They knew exactly what they were doing and now they pay for it. Just like judge said, Apple doesn't need to put fortnite back to AppStore. Epic did this situation to themself, they asked trouble and they got it. Now they will lose millions and millions and also made millions of players mad. Looks like Epic doesn't care much of their players.

Sice I am more than 10 yo, I do not care for Fortnite a bit, but this topic is really interesting - Epic is well prepared, Apple made a lot of mistakes since the ban ... I don't like Epic or Apple at all, but this could set an interesting precedent toward online platforms, fees and monopoly created inside locked out OS.

No Apple for me. Don't matter it is a computer or a smartphone. My best combination is an android phone and a Windows computer or laptop.
