A bit better cpu and i would have support them, even so, i maybe will buy it for someone i care😊
A ton of people are missing the point, this is a phone for those who want to help the planet basically, the workers get fair pay for their work and is made to last decades or more, so thats why is expensive. And you can put any OS in there, replace the battery, change some modules... But nah, you want "cheap phone with good specs" then you got your usual phone then, no need to bash at this phone because is not giving you low price tag while trying to do something good for the people.
Anonymous, 27 Aug 2020Fair price to pay for an environmentally friendly phone. Is the bootloader unlocked?Yes, the bootloader is unlockable.
PopeICC, 27 Aug 2020Nice device I do like the modular design . I heard it's set to get 5 years of updates ... moreremember, the modularity is what making the price high.. the non modular phone is easier to make hence should be cheaper (but you know company want profit)
Nice device I do like the modular design
I heard it's set to get 5 years of updates plus swappable OS
But I would have appreciated it more if I could swap the SOC amd Ram module at will
Price tag is too Agressive for the features it offers
Availability is limited especially for potential users in Africa and the middle east
I really hope the phone becomes more affordable because at this price point the iphone SE is looking very good.
Anonymous, 27 Aug 2020Fair phone with unfair specs and an unfair price tag. The irony! xDWhy All This Hate And All.Not Only Talking About You Buddy But In-general If Someone Have Not Proper Knowledge Of A Thing Then He Should Not Spread Hate And False Things. Not Here Only But I Have Seeing This More On GSMA Lately. The Fan base here has became toxic.Going Green & Sustainable Isn't Cheap.
Even if they put the best Snapdragon flagship processor it isn't worth to buy. But with this low end processor it is extremely useless.
Looky, 27 Aug 2020Hope they sell this phone in at least in Singapore. And with next phone with 6gb ramTough luck with Singapore's small smartphone market.
I just found something interesting about the Fairphone 3+ camera. You don't have to buy the phone itself brand new in the first place as its 48MP sensor can be easily upgradable if you already own the standard Fairphone 3: https://www.theverge.com/2020/8/27/21375326/fairphone-3-plus-release-date-news-features-cameras-ethical-sustainable
Johnrb, 27 Aug 2020Way too expensive clearly but you are buying into an ideal. Shame with such low specs they co... moreBut then again, the whole point of a Fairphone device is longevity. You can actually buy a brand new spare part of a broken component as a replacement: https://shop.fairphone.com/en/spare-parts
Why not put a last-gen Flagship processor in it? That will make it last longer, less reason to upgrade.
L.O.R.D, 27 Aug 2020FairPhone but unfairly priced, or specced Then go buy a phone from one of the behemoth companies that can abuse the ultra low wage workers in China/India/Vietnam for those low priced phones you love so much.
