shappy, 30 Aug 2020gone are the days when GSMarena is making reviews of camera comparisons between flagships. They do, but only for popular (read: overhyped) phones like Samsung, Huawei, Xiaomi, and Apple.
The vanilla 7 will be nice for anyone who wants an affordable flagship and didn't care about camera performance. But since I do care about camera performance since I'm deeply into mobile photography and videography, I'll take the more premium 7 Pro.

An indian like you, coming to just romania, would die of hunger just because his mind wouldn't accept such high prices. And this is only in romania, not germany

I'm using the 6z 64GB, and although there's a storage expansion, it's not sufficient. I installed asphalt 9, along with 200+ apps, and was gonna install COD MW as a friend asked me to, but all of it wasn't gonna fit in the 64GB. Google wouldn't let me install the game on the 256GB SD card. Secondly, the Indian variant of the 6z comes with a slower modem, (1Gbps compared to 1.2Gbps) and the most important part, no 4x4 MIMO, and other modem features which is available in the Taiwanese version, while OnePlus almost all versions have 4x4 MIMO on the 1.2Gbps modem. They even added the same modem to the Nord, a sub $500 phone...
Asus doesn't have a presence at all in my region, so tough luck.

Maybe price inflation throughout the decade is real like 2014's $600 for a complete flagship is equivalent to $1000 in today's standards.

You want to bankrupt them? HTC is Taiwanese two and of course y'all are unfair at HTC for that and now you're taking the same jabs to Asus now.
Anonymous, 30 Aug 2020Asus is non-Chinese..? you sure..?Yes they're Taiwanese. Taiwan is not in China lol
There is NO reason to omit the headphone jack other than GREED.
No 3,5mm jack, never buy.
And these phones should cost 500€/550€.
Though it is quite interesting flagship phone, their timing of release was too late to get people attentions.
Either everyone has already got a hand of most other flagship and using it. The only one who probably wants to buy it just for review or collection. The other has already gotten their hands either with Samsung, OnePlus, Oppo, Xiaomi, whatever brand that has released their flagships.

they essentially destroyed the prospectus of this phone by the omission of the headphone jack.
Great to see people in the comment section are asking for the jack.
Cmon ppl we need to raise this issue. We dont need to listen music from these company's useless and expensive wireless crap headphones.
I would still buy the base model, but I kinda expect it to be around 600 dollar instead of 750 dollar, considering the 500 dollar starting price point of Zenfone 6.
A ''Zenfone 7 Lite'' would fit my bill better, maybe consider to use a LCD screen instead? I won't even mind to downgrade the chipset a bit, perhaps consider 768G?
