After all,... moreYes I hope they remove the front camera completly, it is useless for a lot of people, people can just take photo with rear cameras looking at the glass back of the phone I can clearly see myself I need just to tap the power or volume button to take a selfie with the back camera, even tho I DON'T USE THE SELFIE CAMERA

After all, all implementation of front camera are problematic, but shouldn't we simply consider that the front camera IS the problem ?

Why when Apple went Amoled it started charging a... moreIf you think companies choose only the best for their customers, you are delusional. Old Amoled displays don't have enough pixel density, not enough heat produced. Nowadays they have high PPI and all that heat causes the pixels to get dimmer and dimmer.

I guess you closed your eyes and started yelling "bla bla bla" when all the news about green Samsung panels broke.

Take the Galaxy Z Fold2 compared to the Note 20 Ultra. The Fold2 is much more expensive, but you get a lower screen resolution, and fairly pointless screen aspect ratio (25:9), a smaller battery per screen size and a significantly worse camera setup. More expensive does not mean better. The Note20 Ultra is a much better device than the Fold2, at a significantly lower price point.

Btw, Samsung Display is a separate entity - with it's own CEO etc. Samsung as a mobile manufacturer purchases products from Samsung Display, just like any other of their customers.

Honestly, not bothered by the small, centered punch-hole front camera on my S20+. That under-display front camera tech will just make the phone even more expensive. Technological avancement is excellent, tho.

And looking by the REPORTS their even more expensive £1000 plus foldable phone will be getting a Samsung ;) btw that was a 2020 January article here is a April 2020 one

And it says " It adds that display makers BOE and CSOT offer similar panels as well, but that there’s a big quality gap between them and Samsung’s clamshell screens."

And P40 displays are also Samsung

                          https://www.sammobile.com/news/huawei-p40-series-use-samsung-oled-screens/

A line from the article "This goes on to show that Huawei prefers OLED panels from Samsung for its most premium phones, and this could be due to Samsung’s higher quality and better supply chain."

NICE people get what they paid for

Even Dell got them beat. Dell Streak came in 2010, long before Note series, and was 5" when Samsung was doing 4" devices (Galaxy S and Nexus S).

At the time the Dell Streak was huge in the western markets, but we didn't really get big screens by modern standards until the Chinese ramped up and started influencing.

At the time of Samsung Note, and it's 5.3" screen, there were at least 5.9" devices available, and quite possible bigger also, but I hadn't really tried any at this time.

The year after though, when Note II owners had 720p 5.5", I had a 6" FHD by Zopo - and it wasn't even the biggest one around ;-)

Sony caught on the fastest of the big ones at the time and launched their 6.4" Xperia Z ultra. I had it for a while, and it had a wonderful and big screen, but a tiny battery. The Xiaomi Mi Max fixed this. I regret not getting the Mi Max 3. The Mi Mix 3's screen is very small, and pixelated due to only FHD+ pentile AMOLED :-(

I hope they will soon step up to at least QHD+ for their AMOLEDs already. FHD+ doesn't cut it for AMOLED.

a few years Exynos was better than SD and Samsung had to hold back certain things because its SD counterpart couldnt do it.

                                  https://versus.com/en/qualcomm-snapdragon-820-msm8996-vs-samsung-exynos-8890

                                  from a xda developer article

"For example, the Exynos 8895, which was launched in 2017, has official support for 4K@60fps video recording. However, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 doesn’t have support for this feature, which is why Samsung restricted both the Samsung Galaxy S8/Galaxy S8+ and the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 to recording 4K video at 30fps."
