For 200 will be a huge fail. Both Xiaomi with Redmi Note series and Realme with 6S offer much better deals with better specs. Oxygen is not what it used to be and Oneplus is taking forever to stand by their word like in the Oneplus 5/5T which they promised Android 10 and released a buggy version 3 months ago and still didn't correct it.
People think Snapdragon 4 series are crap abd goes with decades old exynos.
Another oppo's renamed overpriced crap in the name of one plus

And both don't encode and decode 4K. That would means no 4K video recording for these 2 SD chips.
What was Qualcomm thinking for the existence of the 662?
Like to add, the 460 lower powered chip is the dated A53, not the A55 that is commonly found in today's handset.

Anyway I went to more credible site Anandtech https://www.anandtech.com/show/15436/qualcomm-announces-snapdragon-720g-662-and-460-socs
And the RAM is 2x 16-bit @ 1866MHz LPDDR4X 14.9GB/s, not like what you posted. The graphics 610 is also very weak.
Still, I'm not impressed with such dated cpu cores.
Boggy-Stefy, 28 Aug 2020What phones are you talking about?
Ulefone, Doogee, Aligator, Gigaset, Cubot? lol. These are... moreBBKs own sub-brand realme(a rapidly growing and a very good brand) wil launch the same spec phone in the near future under 150$. Xiaomi(an established one-even one among the top 5 brands in the world as of today(international shipments)) may launch in the near future. Why not -even the pricey brand Samsung will launch snap 460 phones under 200$
And for ur information its not about money. I don't mind spending even 1000$ for a phone. Its about the worthiness for the spending money. Juz for a somewhat refined software u cant spend 100$ more.
But u can justify all u want.

"Snapdragon 460 is an entry-level 64-bit ARM LTE system on a chip designed by Qualcomm and introduced in early 2020. Fabricated on Samsung's 11nm LPP process, the 460 features four Kryo 240 Silver high-efficiency cores operating at 1.8 GHz along with four high-performance Kryo 240 Gold operating at 1.8 GHz. The Snapdragon 460 integrates the Adreno 610 GPU and features an X11 LTE modem supporting Cat 13 uplink and Cat 12 downlink. This chip supports up to 8 GiB of dual-channel LPDDR4x-3733 memory."
Go home you're drunk bro.

A55 core at 1.8GHz and 1.4GHz. No A73.
Google those for yourself.

SD 460 is decent, but this will probably be a phone that no one wanted. What consumers wanted was increased access to the Nord. I've already lost interest since getting my Pixel 4a.
Just a normal chinese budget phone then. Except good thing is that it has the Oxygen os.
dyslexic alien, 28 Aug 2020This guy gets it. The word "budget" has been redefined forcefully in this smartphone... moreIt has been for a while. The iPhone SE is considered "budget" at $450 and besides the SoC, it doesn't have much to show for it. The OnePlus Nord is considered budget at $400, which is $100 more then the OnePlus One whose price was considered mid-high at the time, The Pixel 4a is considered budget at $350, packs a somewhat decent SoC and a good camera. But let's not forget that was the launch price of the Nexus 5, which besides having been a plastic fantastic, had a flagship SoC.
The entire market has shifted up. The best argument for a $200 OnePlus phone sporting an SD460 is that the SD460 seems to pack a lot more CPU punch as it's predecessors and OnePlus' lean OS probably means the day to day experience will still be pretty good.
Anonymous, 28 Aug 2020Wow there are so much toxic here. I'm don't have OnePlus phone but just from googl... moreJust see the redmi note 9 pro in us its cost like $230 for base varient and it comes with sd720g FHD+ display only things it lack is the good build quality and a good UI thats it.And sd665 is better in terms of connectivity speed and other things so why not use sd665 rather than sd460.Only cpu speed is not the factor their are many other things that sd665 is better than sd460

One plus is supp... moreI've never been a OnePlus fanboy, but the only reason why I like OnePlus is because of OxygenOS. For a non-Android One smartphone, that is a worthy alternative to Google Pixel lineup.
Boggy-Stefy, 28 Aug 2020Exactly, this guys see SD4xx and immediately think is the worst chipset of all time. They se... moreSd665 is better than sd460.And if sd665 is better why not use sd665.Sd460 is like snapdragon version of exynos 9611 with better efficiency. On the other hand its also good cause we a good build quality a good UI and a good built quality and a good screen though its written their that they will give a Hd+ acreen not a FHD+ screen.
OnePlus should just remove the useless 2MP cameras and put those savings towards upgrading the screen to FHD. That would be a proper low-end killer phone, a segment where no BS reigns supreme (but, unfortunately, OnePlus is full of it).
