The rumor of a 5.6 to 5.8" i... morethat is my fear, that is why when i got the chance to buy a used xz2 compact, i bought it... i need one compact for casual strolling, and one for work - used to be the role of z1 compact and z5 premium... no need to upgrade my work phone, but 1 ii is too tempting that i decided to import one next month (no official release of xperia here in the philippines btw)

Apparently, the Compact namesake will be back next year. We just have to wait for it to see if it's real.

I hope this isn't real make it look like a smaller 1 mk 2. This looks exactly the same as last year. I don't think the guy got the video right looks good but not from Sony

So the X5II is still a 6.1" 21:9 w/ a height for 158mm. The rumor of a 5.6 to 5.8" is false then. I was hoping for a sub 6" 21:9 phone. X5II is just as tall as the XZ3 but slimmer. No hope for a compact phone anymore.

It is in fact overrated because it is a brand well known for decades. The truth is, people just don't buy sony phone because they simply su*ks in every possible way. Design, battery, software and cameras are all bad with hefty price tag.

At lea... moreno i fully agree, the 1 II design is really awesome, perfect imo, love the edged look, just screams premium high tech quality and sturdy at the same time, just a really clean device period...also love that they arent worried about notches, cut outs and crap too...i always felt bezels, to have proper cameras and such, should never be sacrificed for the whole full screen look as in the end it really isnt functional and heck u are more likely to accidentally press on screen...def glad they kept audio jack too and glad they focus on the uighest res screen too even if it's a bit over kill...again it really is like the perfect phone, altho i understand that it is very expensive, but still a shame sony is overlooked/underrated or i guess not as international as they once tried to be

Think the video is fan made doesn't look legit. The Roman numerals are too small unike the video for the 1 II. They almost certainly wouldn't keep the same design as the old 5 that wouldn't be an evolution of the phone. And the camera looks like the same as the old 5 mark I. No tof sensor? Remember the cutouts for the cases don't match this phone either.

mysterious button? might be a dedicated shutter button that is already aged old... nokia of the past (like my n8, 909 has) and all other xperia flagships... now needed more than ever since photo pro is here...
