Mobile version is partly owned by Tenecent, a Chinese company while the console version is not.

Unless the entire world ban a specific country, or a specific country isolate themselves entirely like a intranet.
Any such ban is easily overcome. It only cause irritation and steps.. which stop casual players from playing.. but nothing will stop the determined.

Some are sad that these apps are banned but this won't affect their voting preference and they'll flock to the alternatives. On the other hand, youngsters are pissed off by the National entrance exams and unemployments. That may influence their votes.

Banning tiktok and Pubg is jus alienating the youth in India. The government doesn't realise how wildly popular these apps are in India. And guess what, most of the people using Tiktok or Pubg rn are young adults or teenagers and they can already vote or do so in a few years, and I highly doubt they are going to vote for the current government.

Nice move banning those apps.
Besides I've noticed many Chinese apps get away with installing malware or has suspicious behaviour.
You should see the TCL/Alcatel/Infinix preinstalled malware (that steals your money) debacle, I don't have the link but feel free to look it up in XDA or Android Authority.
If banning such apps are due to privacy issues, well then Facebook and Google are also doing that so it's a silly excuse. But the News Media Bargaining code will soon force FB and Google to take action so you don't have to mind those two platforms.
