It is most obvious in the (lack of) functionality with the external display on the Z Flip. The elegance in the clamshell form factor is what you can do with the phone closed. Lenovo gets it. Motorola got it. BlackBerry got it. But, Samsung didn't. And, considering what they did with the Z Flip 5G, they *still* don't.

Curiously the Z Flip beats the moto Razr in almost All Specs (much better cameras, vastly superior SoC, much better and larger inside screen, multiple levels of folding to allow it to have various viewing angle and be used without a mini tripod, much better quality sound, etc), except perhaps the outer screen, which for some reason hasn't been designed too well on the Samsung (it's too tiny, and the notification is not complete when it appears).
If Motorola has improved all specs on version 2.0, it would be be interesting to compare the two. Also if Motorola could price this at $999, it could easily beat a lot of Flagships, simply for the extras.

Even though everything about this phone is disappointing, you can't help but want one. It actually looks like a flip phone, the Z Flip just looks clunky.

the only advantage this has is the outer display, but all the compromises aren't worth it, buy this at anything over 500 and you're a fool
