An imagined full low-to-middle 5G smartphone lineup from Redmi at the end of 2020:
Redmi flagship, K40 series: $300-$450;
Redmi near-flagship, 11X series: $200-$300;
Redmi Note 10 Pro: $200;
Redmi Note 10: $150;
Redmi 10: $100;
Redmi 10A: $70.
All 5G, and 5G only.
2.4GHz points to Dimensity 800U, with its 2.4GHz cores, not SD765G. Redmi needs a full family of well-tuned 5G SoCs for 4 of its Low-to-middle 5G phones. Only MediaTek offers such options, as follows:
Redmi Note 10Pro: D800U or D820;
Redmi Note 10: D720;
Redmi 10: D720;
Redmi 10A: D600 (forthcoming lower-end Dimensity chip).
Realme has already offered its low-to-middle 5G line based entirely on Dimensity chips, as follows:
X7Pro: D1000+, $315;
X7Pro: D800U, $257;
V5: D720, $200;
V3: D720, $143;
V2: forthcoming with D600, Priced at $100.
Qualcomm chips such as SD765G are unlikely choice for any of these low-to-middle 5G phones. Availability of SD695G (SD690G) and its pricing are unknown at this point.
AnonD-896879, 05 Sep 2020765g is 320k while dimensity 800 is 400k, for PERFORMANCE I said performance the dimensity is ... more320k and 400 k isn't MILES BETTER omg chill dude.
Aparently both options are real... But seems that the Note 10 will use SD 765 while the Note 10 Pro will use SD 820 or 1000C.
Meanwhile the Redmi 10 might use Dimensity 720
Please stop with these uni-glass camera modules. Not only that it's super ugly (a year from now we're going to laugh at these massive camera modules same way we laugh at the Apple notch now), it's also extremelly unpractical - the larger glass, the higher chance of cracking. It's even more annoying on the low/midrange phones that almost always have useless depth/macro sensors...
BUT! Big, seriously BIG kudos to Xiaomi for dropping either macro or depth sensor on this phone (it only has 3 rear cams) and not ruining the display with dual punch hole. This could potentially lose them some "tech stupid" customers who get attracted by the "6 camera phone" marketing but it's seriously relief to get rid of that nonsense.
This makes me wonder, do all phones eventually end up on the landfill? The phone companies assume that the customer is upgrading from an existing phone, then what happens to the old phone? Sold as second hand? And give it a few years it will be obsolete and have no resale value.

Alex 94, 05 Sep 2020Give us new phone every 3 months. Buy the end of the year note 11 please. ( Ironic)I'm waiting redmi note 11 too!
maybe this time will make body size under 158mm
remove that ugly punch hole
just water drop or motorized selfie
or even make the selfie place like what we see in RN5 PRO
Ohh, nooo!
OMG, how ugly and disgusting this rear camera setup!
i hope its 765g its better than the diminsity 820 in the real-world performance and more optimized .
i think diminsity only optamized its 820 on the anutut app but the other99% apps its slower than a snapdragon soc you can watch a YouTube compression vid as a proof to my point .

LCD is better than AMOLED especially because your won't have to replace the display after some months which is already more pricey than with a LCD screen.
So it's oreo shaped? Why is it not coin shape? Or simply round shape?
Anonymous, 05 Sep 2020They always whining about how their dimensity series are better than snapdragon chipset while ... morenever said all Dimensity are better than Snapdragon. obviously 865 is still the fastest chipset for android phones. but D1000+ are like leagues cheaper than phones with 855+
"real life benchmark test done by youtuber reviewers show their most powerful chipset dimensity 1000+ can't even beat last year snapdragon 855+"
D1000+ is around same performer as 855+ in daily use to use situations, doesn't necessarily beat it. Still, the D1000+ is miles ahead than the overrated 765G
"Pity on mediatek fanboys as they been lied by their 'stove' company"
pity on you snapdragon fanboy for not understanding lol
I'll really love if the note 10 uses a Snapdragon chipset possibly the 732G then the pro uses an MTK chipset possibly the 720U but a 5G one.
They always whining about how their dimensity series are better than snapdragon chipset while real life benchmark test done by youtuber reviewers show their most powerful chipset dimensity 1000+ can't even beat last year snapdragon 855+ in antutu benchmark. 765G not weak, 05 Sep 2020The 765G is not weak. The Dimensity 820 has around on the same level performance(**).
The 76... moreAnd the Dimensity 820 might not be a benchmark champion on Antutu with Snapdragon 765 scoring a little less than it.
But it's real world performance on Redmi 10X rivals that of 2020 flagships (same thing can't be said about SD765).
This is why ppl are disappointed with no Dimensity chip on the Redmi Note 10 which is basically a rebranded global version of the Redmi 10X.
