But I think is in our interest if a new operating system is available.. the problem with The ban is clearly about the market domination... In the past the it market was dominated by American company's.. and they don't want to lose that advantage.. same with tik tok and

I think the world (especially Asia) owe China a "thank you" for their cheap and improving (quality) products. Western products mostly very expensive and un-affordable by low income Asians especially students.

The same way China is now making apps like TikTok, China will soon make their own chips, OS, and all kind of apps...and that will probably the beginning of the end for Android and Google. Like Nokia and Symbian, gone for good.

I thought Huawei will stop making phones because they will be unable to source chips from anywhere anymore? SMIC might be put on the blacklist by the US as well. That's alleged.

An important step for China. It will need to learn to make it all as in everything from chip making machines to aircraft jet engines to gain independence from the US and its random trade sanctions.

not every European is pro west. A big portion of the eastern part of Europe has little bias towards socialism/communism. so they would have a soft stance for China. its not that uncommon.
