WolfpackN64, 07 Sep 2020Huawei being forced to develop it's own mobile services probably helped getting HarmonyOS... moreMicrosoft was even bigger then Huawei at the time when they tried to create their own OS and we saw how that ended. This will fail pretty hard outside China. No one wants to migrate to a new OS with a limited AppStore unless you are a tech geek.

Huawei being forced to develop it's own mobile services probably helped getting HarmonyOS off the ground. I'm interested to see another Google free option, especially since Huawei has the sheer size to force developers to consider them.

I hope other chinese brands (xiaomi, vivo, realme, lenovo, oppo, etc.) will use this os too. So the application maker will interest to develop more for this os and there will be alternative other than ios and android
