HRR consuming more ... moreThere's so many different factors in SOT, personal experience is different for everyone.
I can make a phone last 3 days using the lowest brightness, and say it gives me 20 hours of SOT.
Or i can make it last like 4 hours by making it do 100% brightness, benchmarks for both CPU, GPU and playing at 100% volume continuously.

Will not buy Sony Mobile as barely less than a year use this Brand for the Model XZ1 did not get Android Update.

As long as the size is at least 4000 mAh who fully charge under 2 hour, it should do fine for me.
that being said, those units with ~60 minute full charge looks pretty tempting. Just how's the battery life expectancy on those units?

Sony and her fanboys are makin... moreDude, if the stereo speakers placement is on the bottom and on the ear speakers like Note20 Ultra or on the top like Mate 20X or Mi 10 series, that's still plausible for both solutions. HOWEVER, these guys said "front-facing stereo speakers", obviously both speakers located on the front, which's next to impossible to have STB like Note20 Ultra (91.7%) but keeping front-facing speakers like Xperia 1/5 II (84.0%, 80.9%). So, some bezel is needed. Not even ROG Phone 2/3 (80.3%, 79.9%) managed to be slim like Note20U because of the FFSS...

100W power is pumped inside the battery as a whole unit.
One doesn't get two battery bars in the UI.
The combined battery capacity is available to the user as a whole.
And 60W charging can be safer than 18W charging especially when 65W charging is using superior tech like VOOC.
18W Qualcomm quick charge is not as advanced and produces more heat than 65W VOOC charge.

My OP8 pro gives me 8-8.5hr SOT with 1080p@120hz.
Mi 10 ultra operating with 1080p@120hz gives even more SOT than OP8 pro.

Even phones costing 200 dollars have 30-65W charging these days.

Sony lacks the base and mid range compared to Xiaomi.
Note that I used for comparison Dolby turned on, as anyone claims it sound like a crap with turned off, witch is really unfortunate, that Sony can't even tune their own speakers.
BTW: Ignore DXO? What else should I ignore to claim Sony as a winner?

It would be dumb and pointless. Like buying a phone with 4K if you prefer 1080@120.
If you think 4K is not power friendly, you cannot ask 1080@120 because it is even more power hungry.
Be sure Xperia 5ii will score less than 96h of 5 when gsmarena makes the test.
The 120Hz will increase power use by 20-30% just like on other phones.
And haters will come to complain again.
Geeks want 120/144 Hz , but want battery to last same as 60.
Geeks want 7000mAh , but phone with less than 170g.
Geeks want three 1/1.2" rear cameras, but not even 0,1mm bump.
Also phone to be less than $700.
Go buy Xbox or PS instead. In the end, it is a phone not console.
