why am I not surprised to see every new product launching to be powered by a Mediatek processor? whether it;s a budget smartphone,,, TV or now the latest Huawei MatePad T8 tablet
Looks good for the normal users and with a Mediatek processor, it can serve lots of purposes.
I bought one for kids, for attending online classes, the interface is very fluid unlike other budget tablets, however the disappointment is the missing USB-C.
I was able to install Zoom and Whats-app with no issues but for people that need Google echo system its a big NO.
If you can live without google then go for it.
Huawei is not having play services that also affects media streaming potential also. So a tablet with underwhelming performance and cannot stream with Disney+Hotstar or Netflix and cannot do most UPI payment systems and no google services including but not limited to drive, photos and YouTube asking for 10,000 rupees is going to bomb.

Is Huawei officially treat India as tech dumping ground after the two country relation sours?
