I’m predicting the death of Windows and Intel. I mean with devices like the Samsung Galaxy s7+ and iPad Pro (hopefully iPadOS gets better), why does an average person like myself need Windows? In addition, Apple and Microsoft are already working on ARM based computing. Intel is in deep ish.

I found a refurbished Dell Latitude with the same screen size that sells at around $450. But the specifications are not that bad.
Intel SkyLake i5-6200u, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD.
2x USB 3.0, HDMI port, USB C, RJ45 and micro sd card slot for IO
It also comes with a 2 year supplier warranty.
Should I wait for this surface or just get this one instead since they are around $50 difference.

I really appreciate Surface laptops but their comptitors, Dell and Lenovo match more my expectations than them, even if for tablets, Surface is indisputable the top.
It's a question of taste indeed, but after received a Dell XPS 13, I can't hardly give a chance to something else.

Probably a crappy i5-10210y with a miserable 7w tdp and low clock speeds. My surface laptop 1 i got for the equivalent of 500 usd destroys this anyday

Low powered PC should never be a thing. PC should always be about raw power. If you're just browsing, checking mails, watching movies, then get yourself an iPad.
When an iPad Pro could easily surpass these low powered PCs, we expect something more from a potential PC wrt raw power.
Also i5 is the new i3.
