Snapdragon 800 series' latest stands right next to Apple's best. Exynos 900 series and Mediatek's latest offerings hash it out among themselves BELOW those mentioned above, with a slight possible edge towards the latter, especially if you look at the value proposition.

I have been using the T-mobile version for about a week now. Compared to my other phone Moto G 5G Plus, it is much faster and I just love it. The Velvet is the first phone I have had for a while that It will be missed if it brakes. My last four phones in the last two years have had Mediatek G60, g90t, SD765 and Dimensia 1000c. I have become a big fan of Mediatek to be honest and will probably be looking only for phones that run on Mediatek in the future!

Vegetaholic, 09 Sep 2020gpu is a garbage and are in a level of any midranger. Though no complai s as it is misrange ph... moreSome informations...
G57 and G77 are the same cores...
        G57 goes from 1 to 6 cores
        G77 goes from 7 to 16
But both cores are made the same : 2 clusters of 16 lanes per core!
Both are more than 30% better than G76.

G57mc5 was already used on Dimensity 820...
3D score on Antutu is around 125.000 (on a total of around 400.000)
When SD765G is around 93.000 (on a total of around 320.000)
It's more than 30% extra score!
And you often won't need more if you use a 60hz screen.

Of course it will depend if GPU's frenquency on D1000C will be the same than D820.
        Maybe D1000C won't beat D820 in benchmarks...
It's not impossible that frequencie was lower to save energy (even if 1000+ is very good even on 120hz despite 2.6ghz and 9 GPU cores)

But AV1 hardware decoding is a must have and is exclusive to D1000 serie (even SD865+ hasn't)...
The 5 cores image signal processing is an other great feature (D820 has 4 cores).
It allows zero shutter lag up to 64MP...Snapdragon 765G hasn't this feature over 36MP

1000C is a better choice than 820 due to these features...benchmarks won't show this

Just to be clear, dimensity 1000+ for example, was created to fight with snapdragon 855 855+ which by the way throws all this
I'm not a fan boy from Mediatek, I just don't like pull-saquismo from play Boys who have snapdragon and are finding the best smartphones in the world

I am so happy with regard to this phone. Cause I love the rainbow design inspired camera and with the Dimensity 1000, it will be a neat device in terms of specs as well.

The Dimensity 1000C is going to bring in a new wave of powerful performance along with connectivity. The Dimensity series makes it a point to keep the performance top-notch while also maintaining the affordability aspect of it
