Gran turismo 7 240fps sure, and it will look like gt5 graphically. You people need to understand that high frame rates is very tasking for fix hardware machines, even this generation leaps in processing power to new hights, 4k and beyond 60fps rates it is complicated things. Considering games will support ray tracing. Polyphony digotal only works on Ps5 plus they have all the time to optimize gt7, and I am sure 120fps mode will not be so graphically amazing not even talking about 240fps mode. Other devs will release multiplatform games no one will have time to optimise every version of game to run beyond 60fps. 4k 60fps is what will see on 90% of games and it is pretty much given standart for next gen consoles, which is more than you need anyway.

Actually, many great games will be able to run smoothly. For example, Halo Infinite, which will obviously be good, will run at 4k 60fps and on the ps5, sony says they will push gran turismo 7 to 240fps, presumably at 4k
I don't get the obsession over 4 TF on X Series S compared to 6 TF on One X. One X 6 TF is based on old GCN 4 design like Radeon 400/500 series while 4 TF Series S is based on brand new RDNA 2 design, they are like totally different numbers tbh.
Also there's "up to 120 fps" too. IMO, Microsoft clearly aiming this for 1080p at 120 fps or 1440p at 60 fps which totally possible considering it still has the same 3.4 GHz 8 core Zen 2 processor as Series X has which is a very very big jump from old Jaguar processor.
Seems pretty good
Vegetaholic, 09 Sep 2020it will do shit. Think about it, what console games can do 120fps? Exactly, some shitty indie ... moregran turismo 7 has been confirmed running at 120fps and more than likely 4k HDR on ps5 which is 10Tflops and considering the prequel gran turismo sport runs at 4k but at 30fps, there again it's only 3.8Tflops, which suggest xbox series s at 4Tflops 120fps must at 720p or less
I think Gsmarena should stick to phones and tablet, very misleading title, considering Xbox series S has 4Tflops of performance, which is around the same as playstation 4 pro and less than xbox one x at 6Tflops which neither can do or was designed for 120fps, probably Xbox series S can do 120fps at 720p or maybe 900p, very unlikely at 1080p or 1440p.
on the other hand, xbox series x and playstation 4 probably can do 120fps on 1440p or 1660p and maybe certain less demanding graphically games at 4k (2180p)
according to digital foundry " For those that like to have the data broken down for them, based on our testing, we count ten pure, native pure 4K 60fps titles available right now for PlayStation 4 Pro:
FIFA 17 (some 30fps camera modes)
Hustle Kings (HDR support)
Mantis Burn Racing (HDR support)
NBA 2K17 (some 30fps camera modes)
Neon Chrome
Pro Evolution Soccer 17 (some 30fps camera modes)
Rez Infinite (Area X may be sub-4K)
Thumper
Viking Squad
Wheels of Aurelia
Still handing in an impressive 4K 60fps experience, but just falling short in a couple of areas, we have:
Bound (geometry-only 4K)
Diablo 3 (dynamic scaling)
Farming Simulator 17 (wobbly frame-rate)
Smite (dynamic scaling)"
"Up to" 120 fps

Anonymous, 09 Sep 2020True but a copy of Windows costs like $20, even if I paid 100 for Windows 8 myself xDYeah, I was just going off the base price. I had already discounted the games by a lot. Steam sales or not, new games cost a lot. There are console game sales, too. Just not as many so the average price of games for PC are less than average price of console games.

My price was spec'd based off an i7-9700K with RTX 2070 and 16GB memory. I find it sufficient for a gaming PC in 2020.
If you don't have a TV, that's another $400 (something nice, 50") to add to the cost. But you would still be spending less.
