Adi , 11 Sep 2020Sooo, does Samsung have a way to measure it still without the sensor? These apps are available in play Store.
Any one with a smartphone having camera with flash can use these heart rate apps.

The only thing that bothers me is how accurate the reading would be.

It doesn't really use the camera hardware, it rather uses movement sensors in the smartphone. Its simply not possible to use camera lens or camera sensor to measure heart beats. They might use OIS but I doubt it.

This is why Samsung ditched their dedicated heart rate sensor on their Galaxy phones.

Samsung provides this since like 2014 or maybe even earlier, it's hardly news.

That's cute, ultrasonic FPS such as the Qualcomm 3D Sonic Max can literally see veins, and have a way better accuracy, they are also way better as FPS in every aspects than optical and capacitive, just put that damn thing over the stupid optical one on your Smartphones, and you'll have your heart rate monitor.
