Not with Trump anymore.
End of story.

MATE 30 PRO, 15 Sep 2020Luckily Trump has less than 2 months left in the White House ...What you think will chance after Trump? this isn't about Trump, this started with Obama time already, next one won't make things any better for Huawei if you thought that.
Andreidinutu, 15 Sep 2020It is hard to belive. Why settle for less?Hard to believe that there are local apps and appstores? China isn't some backwater that many on this site are led to believe, lol. They probably have as many people working on phone apps as anywhere else in the world.
Luckily Trump has less than 2 months left in the White House ...
Andreidinutu, 15 Sep 2020Oh so it is because of the ban. I didn't know that. Yeah as I have said, here in romania,... moreWhy is that so hard to believe? Android is open source, anyone can use it. Chinese phone vendors take Android, customise it and add their own appstores. Google is not involved in anyway.
Makes sense because this phone has no meaningful market outside China.

Thank you. I really didn't belive this thing with china and google apps. It didn't seem right. Why use a fake? But if it's banned, alright then
AnonD-955101, 14 Sep 2020So this is it.
Huawei is done, and i think there is no chance for huawei to recover from all ... moreI hope all this Chinese manufacturers would stay in China with their cheap models. And release internationally just 2-3 good models per year. Something like One Plus is doing.
Instead their are releasing tens of models per year disrupting and "polluting" the market. And the sad part, majority of them are not good and you can't tell which one to buy or not.
As an European, I wish EU will do the same as USA did, with this ban. And also extending it to other Chinese manufacturers too. This way it will force them to up their level or at least not release so many models outside China.
Andreidinutu, 15 Sep 2020Are you chinese? I don't really belive this "chinese don't use gms" thing.... moreNope, from Belgium, but some chinese friend ;)
GMS aren't popular because they are quited "banned" in China, due to the lack of Gmail and some sort of thing (Or at least a version that is "China certified", so, altered), that's why they have alternative (Weibo, Baidu, WeChat en so on) ;-)

10 million units is enough for China only. So don't expect to be globally released.
