The Pro models will dissapoint and won't sell a lot.
It's left to the base models and has usually been the key selling point (like XR and 11).
Anonymous, 15 Sep 2020Man its Apple. Always behind in every aspect. Little to no innovation. At least this is not a $300 Realme that breaks after 1 month use.
90hz is better than 60hz no doubt. But the "full" 120hz is better than 90hz. To Apple, 90hz would be too intermediate of a step, and 90hz isn't without its flaws. They're not about that life. It's the same reason why they'd never do away with the display notch to go to a hole-punch layout. It'd be more of a spec brag and a gimmick, and less of a genuinely functional feature as far as they are concerned. I will say this. If 120hz doesn't make it to this year's iPhones, I'd be willing to bet that it'll make it into ALL of the new models next year, not just one or two.
Jasper5774, 15 Sep 2020In a way it's good coz this will reflect in pricing.
This year we may witness value for... moreThe reason IOS upgrades are exciting is because Apple is just incorporating most of the already existing features of Android which is already fully featured from the start.
Ancient USB otg or reading external drives on android only made it to IOS with IOS 13 lol.
Anonymous, 15 Sep 2020best software experience🤣🤣🤣🤣It is. iPhones have a much longer service life because of continuous iOS updates. The software is uniquely matched to the hardware. Everything is smooth, polished, consistent, and laid out logically. That's not to say I don't have complaints. iOS 13, despite some great new privacy/security features, wasn't the most stable or appealing from a design perspective. And as a general pattern with iOS lately, I've complained that the widgets are an afterthought (and I find widgets useless anyway so I'd prefer they weren't even there), the Settings app has grown too complicated, the Health app isn't intuitive to use, and certain redundancies in the search/notification features are annoying. However, many of these complaints about iPhone are part of the reason why I only did Android once, for a very short time, and never again. Android had too many redundancies and a lack of polished feel. Add to that the generally short lifecycle of software updates, and it just wasn't what I was looking for (in addition to hardware-related factors, not just software). I said in my first post the advantages that Android has. I see the appeal for sure, but for my uses, iOS is far superior.
Man its Apple. Always behind in every aspect. Little to no innovation.
Bixby, 15 Sep 2020High res is total crap, iphone is so optimised that it doesn't make any difference. Yaa.. I can feel your pain. Grapes are Sour.
[deleted post]Just giving an opinion, specs and numbers do matter, that's a fact. Those who say the user experience matters more than numbers and specs on paper, are in a way wrong, because that smooth user experience is backed by powerful hardware i.e big numbers. Higher refresh rate definitely is better, no matter how much optimised or smooth is the UI. There are some users who don't care about technical specs or numbers but they're just uninterested in them. Those things can be ignored but can't be denied
Andreidinutu, 15 Sep 2020Hz and res are things that the humab eye itself can see and ios cant do anything about them. L... morePedantically, they're not. As someone who's advocating for higher refresh rates you should know they increase temporal resolution, not spatial.
Anonymous, 15 Sep 2020Sharp stopped making oled for mobile.
They did not have orders enough to keep oled productio... moreUnless their IGZO website is outdated, it literally says:
"Revolutionary IGZO display technology delivers high-resolution, ultra-low power, and slim product profiles, plus exceptionally detailed touch panel capabilities. IGZO is a driving force behind new developments in a variety of fields, enabling LCDs, AS WELL AS OLED, and MEMS displays, with new levels of performance."
It's not common but it appears that they're still making them. Not sure if they used them on their recent Aquos Zero 2 but it still exists:

Anonymous, 15 Sep 2020How do you even compare something that is only made for IOS ? If bionic would run android and ... moreYou've highlighted a point in Apple's favor here though. The whole point is that Apple hardware and software are unique to each other, and go hand in hand. That's one of the advantages of Apple products. It leads to better battery life and performance than you'd otherwise get. From a purely "spec-sheet" numbers perspective, any source will say that the A13 is also objectively superior to the current Android offerings. But the other part of its superiority comes from the perfect hardware/software match it has with iOS.
Andreidinutu, 15 Sep 2020This is another level. Even if you apologized, just by putting words into my mouth, and by you... moreLike I give a damn lol. Apologizing to people who go into full rage mode because I don't fall into their mad specifications religion. That's a new one XD
[deleted post]This is another level. Even if you apologized, just by putting words into my mouth, and by your horrible expressions, I wouldn't want to talk to you. Goodbye
