I love both with all my heart and they are both excellent. It's just that Apple prioritizes security, optimization and getting things right and Android usually prioritizes packing more features and accessories for a lower price. It depends on which on you prefer, there hasn't been any device that's perfect yet.

Brighter display, better IP rating, more powerful and efficient chip, better speakers, better front camera, ultra wide angle camera, bigger battery, faster charging.
This is why 5 years of update would be useless for someone like me, how can you guys keep a phone for longer than 2 years without feeling outdated, bruh.

It's the whole experience. Hardware and software. Where Androids are for spec wh*res who salivate over raw spec sheets all day long and don't understand a 1000€ phone with 8K 244Hz display, billion megapixels camera with 300x zoom and 16GB of RAM means absolutely nothing if vendor stops giving you software updates after just 2 years.

Battery concerns nothing. It's profit they are worried about and nothing else. Power draw is not an issue.

Much ado about nothing. It was only rumours that said it might have it, and only rumours now that say it won't. Enjoy your hate party fandroids.
I don't do anything on a phone that would benefit from higher refresh, and I aggressively hate motion interpolation on my TV (so disabled); the only time I care about refresh is gaming on my PC. It still boggles me how people can play twitch games on phones.

I love it and I would have bought one next year, if it was for this very 120hz thing. I love ios, but gonna go for a sony 1 II or a rog phone 3. Me either I think 120hz is useless only consume battery. Even game 60fps is still best. Codm 60fps is like 30fps in pubg. For daily normal usage 120hz is like adding sugar to honeybee. Or maybe 90fps is far than enough.

Unlike all the rest of whiners and bashers in this comment section. People whine how limiting iOS is and how they can't do anything with it and yet I'm sitting here wondering what petty reason they have to whine over it and ignore how absolutely smooth it is and how you get all updates on day 1 for basically guaranteed 5 years after device release. It's these haters that make you believe iOS is terrible, locked down and limited, but reality is, it's the exact same thing as Android, just hugely better in some regards and tiny bit worse in others. And you're not limited to anything. I literally don't use ANYTHING from Apple. It's all services from 3rd parties be it for maps, music, browser (whine about the Safari engine, I don't care), cloud storage etc. In a way I just have Apple account to login and that's it. On Android it means you're connected to worlds biggest data hoarder, even if you use everything else from 3rd parties. Yeah... one of reasons I ditched Android, among other things like absolute garbage updating process and long term software support. I too can't wait for iOS 14. With Apple, I can be excited about iOS 15 too. Coz with Android, 3rd version would be a no no already and I'd be expected to buy a new 800€ phone just to get major OS update. Yeah, how about no.
