Not even Google is trying to outprice Apple on this one, and they could.
While Apple does indeed offer a "deal", it will only alienate Apple users from everyone else.
Also, this is the path to something much darker, similar to what the consoles have. Incoming:
- iPhones/Macs never increasing storage space/offering even less storage just to force you into iCloud
- every single news article in the browser will try to force you to Apple News
- Apple Arcade including "sales" and in-app purchases
- broken integration within the Apple ecosystem with anything other than Apple TV or Apple Music
- a new asterisk with each new Apple Watch feature saying "only available with an Apple Fitness+ subscription"
Releasing something overly expensive will just make people skip their products, or in the case of monopolies, government intervention; but for undercutting, you get angry corporations with a lot of money. Epic is already on it, while Spotify, Sony, Microsoft and Google are preparing a case right now.
Heck, even if they win it, the legal costs combined with the low margin offer they have will pretty much turn this into a loss for Apple

This is why Apple must be penalized like Microsoft was in Europe. It is big enough that it is clearly a platform. And as a platform they must give consumers choice of marketplace.

Don’t worry, Spotify. I’m an iPhone user, but I never liked Apple Music. Tried it a day, I still have a month free, but immediately canceled. I don’t like the recommendation. Spotify is better at finding new music that I like. So please keep it that way. Please don’t ever suggest music that I do not like, and is very far from my taste. You’re my only music subscription.

Then again if spotify charged more for their sub, i would quit the music sub services.

Just because they explicitly don't disallow sideloading and 3rd party stores like Apple does, when you're on THEIR app store, you play by their rules. But there's a difference. Apple makes own devices, own OS and has own app store. Google only makes OS and app store and it's then loaded on 3rd party devices. Same rules would/could only apply on Pixel phones which then meet the same conditions as Apple. Own device, own OS, own app store. And to be honest, if you don't exist on GooglePlay, you don't exist. Period. General public only downloads apps from official device app stores, the ones that come with phones and those are always GooglePlay no matter what, all 3rd party stuff is only what geeks bother with, not casual users. That's just a fact.

Apple should be forced to be divided into at least two completely separate companies, one for the hardware including the App Store, and another for all the apps and services that compete against all the other companies apps and services using Apples hardware and App Store!

What you did ther... moreThat's the dumbest argument I've seen in ages. Guess what, Android apps also don't work on iOS. That's like arguing Linux is crap because Linux executables don't work directly on Windows (or vice versa). Would you look at that...
On another note, you can't run Netflix app on iOS somehow? GMail one? Google Maps? Outlook one? Spotify? Deezer? HereWeGo? Reddit? eBay app? Amazon app? Raid freaking Shadow Legends? Pretty much anything that's on Android is also on iOS and vice versa.

If the product Apple are producing/offering suits my budget and taste then why is that an issue?
It is up to the competition to entice customers. You can use Netflix and Spotify for iOS and bypass Apple's payment system by subscribing directly, if your concern is the 30% fee?
