Exp... moreAll the pre-launch orders were started by various off-line stores out of their own initiatives, without any prompt from the phone-maker, and without any verifiable spec's or pricing information.
There were already several people showing their 7000CNY ($1034) pre-order receipts in various forums. Today, there was another person showing a 10000CNY ($1477) pre-order receipt in a forum, claiming that he wanted to secure a highest configured model in this series. There were also reports that the pre-launch marketing kits had already reached some of the larger off-line stores. The warming-up events are expected to start in the last days of September. Official launch on October 15.

As a defense against such a high demand, many of the pre-orders were done as near-full payment orders. For example, some people were showing their 7000CNY ($1000) pre-order receipts in various forums.

According to an insider, the pre-launch marketing will start in late September, domestic launch in mid-October, and the sale will commence immediately after the launch.

I wonder if it's Huawei being incredibly good at minimising leaks or simply less people are interested in their devices compared to last year so we naturally see less infomation about it.

Have to find a replacement for my M20X soon, even it's still like a new phone and still is a hell of a phone, but there's no other phones with a big display and 100% better specs out there.
I still think my camera is better vs the 2020 BIG display phones, black shark 3 pro etc. 😒

So far this phone has been going under our radar and we barely know anything about its specs including its camera hardware and even the SoC. I'm most curious what changes they will bring to its UWA camera though, hopefully it will have slightly wider FoV (Say 15mm equiv.) and a higher resolution sensor.
