Andreidinutu, 16 Sep 2020I love mediatek. To me it's like this Exynos>apple>mediatek>kirin>snapdrago... moreAre you kidding me? Snapdragon can beat all of them in all aspects. Exynos will throttle and slow down easily. Kirin is dead now. MediaTek is improved but still it can't give you stable performance for years.
MrMing, 16 Sep 2020I thought 7nm SD865 are manufactured by Samsung as well? Or is it TSMC still? They are manufactured by TSMC 7nm+.
Anonymous, 16 Sep 2020your description of Exynos looks like a SarcasmNope. I just don't like too smooth stuff
MagicMonkeyBoy, 16 Sep 2020Not at all impressed with A14. MTK, Qualcomm... Yes please. Dimensity 2000+ or SD 875 with X1 ... moreYou really gotta stop this gaming phones thing
I have told you why many times before. And also that I own a gaming phone
Ban Xiomi & RealMe problem solved for Apple and Samsung! They can keep dishing out average stuff for a fortune! At least Samsung is trying foldable!
LWB (VP, Xiaomi) was talking about the upcoming Redmi devices, not Xiaomi devices. With smartphone buyers losing interests in traditional "budget flagship", we will be seeing the emergence of two new subcategories: "premium" budget flagship and near-flagship.
- Traditional budget flagship:
flagship SoC, near-premium build-quality, mostly mid-range subsystems.
Examples: K20Pro, K30Pro.
- New, "premium" budget flagship:
flagship SoC, premium build-quality, flagship-worthy subsystems in select areas.
K40Pro will come with much improved display, camera and fast-charging subsystems, with a higher price tag.
- New, near-flagship:
near-flagship SoC, premium build-quality, flagship-worthy subsystems in select few areas.
Examples: K30Ultra is the 1st example in this category.
Sanjay, 16 Sep 2020Simulated apple a14 series performance....in Geekbench multi-core....
A14 --. 4070 points
... moreIn comparison
Apple a13-- 3530 points in Geekbench multi-core
Apple a12z-- 4710 points
Simulated apple a14 series performance....in Geekbench multi-core....
A14 --. 4070 points
A14x --. 6980 points
No idea about single core...since they didn't unveil single core performance improvements
It's a easy guess....this time Snapdragon 875 will match the apple a14 in cpu performance but not in GPU anyway.... clearly apple favoured power efficiency over performance since it has to match the smaller iphone 12 battery which is just 2200mah...also it will have less space for thermal management.... Thats the real reason I think....main culprits for less improvement in performance are the smaller batteries...
It's lovely to see Qualcomm lose 33% market share with their expensive suoer processors people have a habit of finding that everything that is expensive has quality, of course snapdragon has quality, but that's really fact! Get out of the matrix A mediatek dimensity 1000+ delivers the same
Delivers the same performancess in games as a Snapdragon 865, the FPS frame rate are stable running PUBG for example, in the ultra extreme graphic, people prefer to pay dearly on something because they believe the asking makes quality
I remember a story as a child, my father told me that, there was a small shop of jolhas that sold in his window several jolhas carrisimas and others that had year without selling, but it was much cheaper. One day the store owner called the seller why that jolha there was 1 year there without being sold unlike others that were worth 20x more and had already been sold, so he told her
The girl, had no choice but to act out of her creative customs, honesty, homhood, had to overprice the price of the cork, and put it in the window with the superfatudo price about 20x the previous price. When the end of the afternoon, two young people appeared, the girl looked at that same star that had been there for years without being sold, loved her ... He claimed to be the most beautiful jewel he had ever seen in his entire life and bought it.......
History teaches us that it is not the price that makes quality, that is psychology, people buy expensive to think they are important, there are cheaper things, things that deliver the same results as those others chosen at expensive prices, to satisfy the ego
It even seems that mediatek will stand still watching all this happen without doing absolutely nothing
She will hope to get out the Snapdragon 765 and test its specs, I believe wur the Dimensity 2000, if so-called, will impress the biggest rivals of the West, apple and Qualcomm.....
Not to mention that the liyography of snapdragon 875 will be produced prla samsung and not TSMS, we may see some minor flaws naa instructions 🤣 if it is to take into account the production of lithographs and instructions of the exynos
Realme and Xiaomi should concentrate to reduce weights of some of their phones. At have some variety. Just slapping latest chipset and launching new phones doesn't cut the ice anymore. Oppo, Vivo are doing it with Reno 4 pro, Vivo X50. I think funtouch and Color OS are quite smoother now.
