Companies like Samsung and Sony are innovation and they also make most of the stuff that they put in their phones like the chip, RAM, storage, display, camera etc. Other companies just buy from these ex. Exmor and ISOCELL sensors, Super AMOLED displays, LPDDR4 RAM, Exynos chipsets etc. It's like you can assemble a high end desktop PC with various parts from other brands, but you can't brag about making it the best performing one, because you didn't actually create those, they were made by someone else, you just put it together

LOL is that why Sony only managed to sell 400k units out of 700k in Q1 2020?

While OnePlus uses a FHD display, the competition was already on QHD AMOLED even before it, and the Xperias were already far ahead of all with their superior 4K displays that's still not yet seen in any other phone. They introduced shatterproof screens long before Motorola did on the Turbo 2. Their technology has been, and still is considered the best in the industry. Just look at the Xperia design, much better then other phones, IMO it's just beautiful. They're renowned for not just phones but most other stuff they make for example PlayStation, CyberShot, TVs, headphones etc. Sony also did not resort to cheap tricks like 'invite' to buy phones, flash sales or other hype building acts. The name Sony, is enough, my friend. Peace

That... moreHe's right, no OLED TV's , but they do make OLED phone screens. The problem with TVs is the yield because they are so huge. LG is leading that with 60 or 70% viable product for TVs while Samsung is stuck at 30% or so.

That being said, my optoelectronics professor who is heavily involved with independent research, was enthusiastic about Samsung's Q-Dot displays because they are actually a really awesome engineering feat, especially since they are substantially less likely to fail or degrade.

HS technology is inferior to VOOC. Chinese phones operating on VOOC or rebranded versions of the same like Dash charge on my phone hardly heat the phone while charging and using the phone.
Looks like your attempt at putting down Chinese phones went down the drain.

Band 71 is a big part of how T-Mobile has improved reception ... moreUnfortunately that's why I skipped the Sony phones this year (well...the Xperia one mark ii not-so-great battery life didn't help as well as charging the US the same despite only being able to use 4G).

Next year should add 90Hz minimum, 5,000mAH, .2" of screen increase, and band 71 to get my attention since EVERYTHING else about these phones are darn-near perfect (I absolutely prefer more natural-looking photos than the overblown colors of the competition).

Now I'm a Sony fan but I think we all can agree that such a phone is what a lot of people have been waiting for
