120Hz screen running on 60Hz = incompetency.
Fearghast, 18 Sep 2020It only proves Sony can't implement things where others can. Yes yes Sony cannot implement 120Hz since 2017 they got UHC-8300 camera (120fps 8K 10.000cd/m2 HDR). They must learn from Xiaomi and Samsung.

Not to mention ignoring most my points? Suit yourself.
I hope you like those changelogs.
Jasper5774, 18 Sep 2020That proves my point that slowly they are wrapping up their smartphones business. Well.. qualcomm president congratulated sony for high sales of xperia 1 mk 2 and signed up a deal with Sony to develop gaming smartphones. So i don't know what you are talking about.

You lie. The phone is amazing good, 1.5 day battery and amazing display in calibrated sRGB mode.
120Hz OLED display, 20fps real-time eye AF camera and 4K 120fps HDR recording.
O_O Oh my god how they do this?
Im waiting, probably soon I will put camera test on YT.
So it proves the point that Sony has always been using 120Hz panels since 2016 but are locked at 60Hz.
Jasper5774, 18 Sep 2020That proves my point that slowly they are wrapping up their smartphones business. What :))?? Sony gained more profit than last year. They aren't going away anytime soon. :)
... and thats all. Their phone will cost a huge but they do not like to give after sell service.
Anonymous, 17 Sep 2020Err, isn't providing the latest is what they are actually doing right now? You're slow on the uptake, huh?
Utterly unacceptable nonsense. Why do they have to this? Just why?

Excelent support is not regional, it's fast, it does not break things like camera app crashing, FPS sensor no longer working, does not only include security updates, but new features if possible and it comes with CHANGELOGS!

Power efficiency brought by 5nm should help improve it, even for just 4K 90Hz. Qualcomm should not just limit the capabilities of their chipsets according to the majority only, as I strongly believe that the next generation SD8xx would be powerful enough to consistently handle such display format with good efficiency.
I wouldn't mind 5000mAh battery anyway.
Shanti Dope, 18 Sep 2020Maybe, but it could also be because of the great amount of energy needed to use, which is why ... more1080@120 already uses more power than 4K@60.
Now imagine 4K@120.
Limitation is the fact cpu is not strong enough.
Same way 6xx cant run QHD screen.
I doubt 875 will support 4K@90 or more .... Only sony uses 4K and mobile chips are not strong for laptops. No reason for Qualcomm to push it ..
