Now iPads having its own OS, started the true multitasking just few years back which was available in the Android world's almost from the beginning. Tablet SoCs require some customisation which is not available in Android. Having said that, for a regular usage my Samsung Tab S2 performing very well written almost 2 years of no software upgrades. No lagging etc.....The power of SoC is not the sole factor, it is RAM, memory management, optimisation, close integration etc....Samsung is making tablets just to keep the Android space alive, otherwise they don't make much in tablets in any case! BTW, it's QHD+ AMOLED 12 inch screen Tab with full mobile capabilities, Expandable storage costs less than iPhobe

End of the day the A12Z and A13 remain unbeaten where they are comparable to the 865+ and the A14 does not need to do much to beat whatever Qualcomm brings. :)

We may end up seeing Multiple SoCs soon once the processors hit physical limits and that time we may see exponential gain in processing with quantum computing and totally different fabrication and materials used for PCB, processors etc... I think they scientific community guiding the industry for the largest scale i consumer tech nnovations preparing for QBIT innovation down the road and the kind of processing it does require efficiency since performance is already guaranteed.

Apple leaped ahead and are now focusing on power consumption. Not a single competitor has even beaten the 2 year old A12X,LOL. Even the latest Snapdragon 865+ In the Samsung GalaxyTab S7+ gets demolished by the A12Z (based on A12X) in the iPad Pro:

For me personally how I see it, if apple manages to maintain what power we have on the A13 I see no good reason why horsepower should have to increase, especially if that means extra efficiency.
Its something that Mediatek, Qualcomm and Samsung especially would benefit from, chasing more power just leads to needing bigger batteries, bigger costs then the android phone becomes something that isn't of better value for money.
SoCs are easily fast enough for whats needed on a smartphone for the time being.

It's funny because when Apple A chips were leading AnTuTu people were praising them and making fun of Snapdragon, Kirin, Exynos, Mediatek etc.
And now, when there is barely improvement, and the A14 chip scores even lower than some SD 865, so the 5 nm SD 875 will probably surpass it and reach 700k, and now people are saying that cross platform comparison should not be done.

And the battery health does go down (not naturally but deliberately through software updates)

Either way, in places where they are comparable the A13 itself is better than any Qualcomm chip, and the A14 will be that bit better than the A13 that it will take a whole other year before Qualcomm can catch up. :)
