What's your point?
I am glad they are banning it, as the Indians already did. India and the US are the main markets for TikTok, and China has been compiling massive amounts of user data without fully disclosing what they collect and how it's used.

20-30 yrs ago, CN invited (begged) thousands of company from the west, especially US tech companies, invest and operate business in CN with open arms. After CN obtained the technology and how to run business, they used the old dirty trick and kicked out most of them and made a copycat (Facebook, YouTube, google, ebay, ...) haha CN think the west is stupid with their jungle laws. Trump is smart, why he is billionaire, he waited for his turn. I'm just a little sad that he doesn't ban more like India.

When the American companies goes to China to start a business to make trillions of dollars. There is an agreement between the Chines government and the companies that they will need to share their technology and partially owned by chinese Joint venture companies in order for the American company to start a business there. Do you know the big corporations agrees and exchange their IP with hundred of billions of dollars they make while doing business in China. This is a mutual agreement. If they didn't agree, they would have left the country fro the past 40 years. The reason Facebook and Google was banned in China is because foregin government were using Social Media and Google to provoke violent and anti government protest in China. In 2009, a terrorist group who was funded by foreign government were using Facebook to organize killing in Xinjing China.

I think most common app day to day app people take for grant are block in China for last 10 years+ Isn't Trump only banning 2 app? Doesn't China ban at least 2 apps/games/movies on a monthly basis? We comparing Level 1 Trump to Level 99 China! He still needs to level up! With the US ban there a date and notification, and everyone know about it. With China, it just happens!
