xgudwilx, 21 Sep 2020At 250 you're just mad you paid more for something less.Buddy I'm not the one buying low end chromebooks. I have a laptop that won't lag in basic web browsing.

As the article suggests, a very timely device from Lenovo. I managed to snag one before the school year for my primary school-aged son. It's great for his smallish fingers and he's been able to play every game from the Play Store with no issues. I bought a stylus and we're able to use it with popular drawing/colouring apps on the Duet.

Video playback is not a problem and picture quality is great. It's no gaming laptop, but that's not what this device is for.

Why can't they make a PERFORMANCE machine in this form factor? I have a 2020 iPad Pro 11 with a SNUGG keyboard, both are superb and the speed of the iPad is outstanding, but the total price is beyond your typical Chromebook buyer. A Chromebook about 4 times as fast as this Lenovo in the same form factor with a stylus would be ideal for creative professionals and business people wanting to do presentations.

Which doesn&... moreI was using a 7th Gen iPad before the Duet. iPads are powerful but they perform poorly in web browsing as tabs would reload and certain websites won't open at all. iPads are fine only if your work involves iPadOS apps. Duet is suitable for those who work on web apps and or directly on websites like blogging and stuff.

Try testing the display backlighting and PWM next time, also in smartphones.

I pre-ordered when it was first announced and it's been my primary away-from-keyboard device. The Sonos app is flaky, working for a while then crashing, but all other Android apps have worked flawlessly.

I'm not pushing it - email, Teams, Nook app, browsing. It's been great within those parameters.

I got one at the end of June from Best Buy and I have used it almost daily. I am in Grad School and I was also moving cross country (West to the East) and I needed a portable computer to use it while on the road and while in hotels. Although I have a Lenovo Yoga 900, the Lenovo Duet is more potable, lighter, and had a longer lasting battery. I use it as a reader, to watch videos, homework, write papers, and more. I also use it for fun, not just school stuff. Screen quality is excellent, it is bright enough to be able to use it outside and dims low enough to read while my spouse is in bed asleep. Speaker are not the best quality but they sound good and are loud enough, besides, most of use use headphones now. The processor speed also adequate. I don’t usually have problems with software freezing; it’s very uncommon. Anyhow, for the price I paid, $300, it is a great investment for school. Similar tablets that are much larger and heavier cost over $500 and it doesn’t even include the keyboard or kickstand. Oh yeah, the tablet is a 10” so the keyboard can be a bit cramped, but within a week or two, I got used to typing on it.
If you want to buy a decent tablet for fun or school while saving some $$$, this is a save investment.

I was really disappointed in mine. Sluggish to very slow. The mash up of the is is not good. Different gestures depending on if keyboard is attached or not. Magnets need to be stronger as well as keyboard won't stay attached with modest jostling in lap. Overall, a miss.
