Only owners using their phones know what the real deal is with S3's internal memory. It's so worse on my 16gb : 11gb usable, but actually it's only 10.5gb because when you reach 500mb left, you can't install a single app from the market anymore. If you happen to go below 300mb, you can't even receive SMS, the phone keeps reminding it to you.

olly b, 18 Jul 2012what some people dont realise is the s3 internal mem is for apps u cant move apps to the sd i ... moreWow
It was not so long ago that 8Gb memory cards ruled the roost

Except for the fact that the SGS II can only take a 32Gb card the SGS III is therefore better

What I don't understand is when will you get to use your phone as a phone?

How many days would it take to play / view all the files in YOUR device just once

As for apps give me a break, some may just be required occasionally or just the once

It appears that you have to have your ENTIRE collection with you.

You appear to have just one copy so not backed up which as already stated (iPhone problem) with card it's there

If I lose my phone I have a copy of all my media
a 32GB CLASS 10 cost £22.00 @ Amazon.co.uk

This is after all a phone and there may be a place for 64GB SGS III ONLY if it is backed up.

what some people dont realise is the s3 internal mem is for apps u cant move apps to the sd i know that cuz i have and s3 32gb with 32gb micro sd and out of that 32gb internal mem u only get 25gb user memory compare to ihone 32gb and 29gb user mem so i have a 32gb card that i cant use for apps and i have a lot of apps that takes a lot of space so all these ppl that say they have 50gb dropbox all that is useless to the phone because everything stores on the 25gb phones internal mem

Dee, 18 Jul 2012Don't forget that SGIII card slot handle up to 64GB. If you have 16GB version plus a 64GB then... moreDon't forget you only have 11Gb available of these 16Gb, and you can't install everything on the internal mem.

Since my GS2 i have the option to record at 1080p@30fps. This is 20~30mps (1~2Gb/Minute) and i need all the necessary space and a big hard drive to store my own viedo recorded collection. So all the 1080p capable devices, deserves at minimun 64Gb HD to store the own video records and all the downloaded FullHD and flacs, apes or wavs audios records. So YES, we need >64Gb in my smart-phone.

I already own sgs2 so i don't need this sgs3. Better i go for Nokia 808. 16gb plus 32gb is enough.

128GB of solid state memory, man that is a lot. At this rate smartphones will and as we speak have been taking over core functions of PCs. Since I got my Galaxy Note early this year I rarely use my laptop and PC anymore, just for doing school works and assignments and that is it.

Don't forget that SGIII card slot handle up to 64GB. If you have 16GB version plus a 64GB then total of 80GB! that is plenty.

64GB is not needed. I went from iphone 4 to galaxy note as i was fed up with the apple experience and so couldnt wait for S3. I found android pretty laggy, it can grind the device to a halt when not doing much, music player is unuseable because it doesnt play music seamlessly, constant cutting out, Pro HDR app doesnt have same levels of exposure as iphone one. now i cant wait to go back to iphone and a stable working phone.

I want the 64Gig version. Either I get that or I dont get a SGS3 at all. I "could" settle for the 32Gig, but I WANT the 64.

If Samsung wont give me that then I will simply wait for SGS4 or take another phone entirely.
