Samsung's Exynos 1000 might be faster than the Snapdragon 875 Comments

Don't forget about power consumption, even if Exynos could match Snapdragon speed, it does so at the cost of double power consumption cost.

But for phone it is not... moreIt's not always about the performance, there are other aspects that have to be considered, the most important of them is the extra physical buttons that gaming phones come with, any gamer would agree that they're crucial, and in some games like PUBGM, they're very, very important and there's no substitute to it, regular phones are of no use there, so would you call this a minor feature ? It's a game changing feature (no pun intended)

Exynos' chip specs is only good on paper, just like the Exynos 990 back then. A lot of people praise the Exynos 990 before because the specs on paper seems to good to be true, until they get a hands-on of S20 with Exynos 990, and it show how terrible and inferior the Exynos processors was.
They should choose ARM's Cortex on their performance core instead of using the crappy Moongose core.

As for "we're living in current times". The said "current times" change all the time. Nokia was the leader of smartphones once, and now it's an irrelevant company. The point being that nothing stays the same.
I'm not saying Exynos 1000 WILL be better than Snapdragon 875. I'm just saying it COULD be better if Samsung's R&D does a good job on it.

Exynos 8895's CPU was very efficient(more efficient than SD counterpart) Exynos 990 is worse in every case CPU/GPU.
So day to day use 8895 would give you better battery duration than SD 835.
Exynos 990 is just a waste and The fault goes to Samsung directly.
Also I have doubt about your 70% more power hunger theory.
SD 835 had 9W TDP.
Exynos 8895 had 5W TDP.
