Xbox is not trying to be Sony, Xbox is trying to be Sony+Steam.
Steam with proper optional proprietary steambox.
And obtaining Bethesda is smartmove and hit the right target market for Xbox (Western RPG + Doomstien fans)

This article says that Microsoft own Bungie which is completely untrue. You may be thinking of 343i which currently develop the Halo series.

              Wow!
Guess the next wave of Bethesda published games will only be on Xbox\PC.
With this acquisition now Microsoft has 23 studios.
              Nice.

Very smart move. MS knows they will never compete in the console world with Sony and they cannot beat the flair and huge fanbase, so they just turn the tide and let Sony sell games for them on their well established platform. Its a win-win for MS either way.

I literally will still never get an XBOX, Playstation will always be better. Plus, I never cared for any of those game titles.

PROTON, 21 Sep 2020This will be tough competition for playstation Microsoft and Sony have one different paths these generation. And I think is a good think.
You want exclusives and the classic console approach, Sony it is.
You want your games on all platforms, no matter what you have (PC, Xbox, Android smartphone), get a Game Pass subscription.
                          Everybody wins.
