Konstantlnos, 23 Sep 2020So in the end- Huawei loses access to their own SOCs and are now dependant on US technology. Q... moreIt's all temporary. Huawei and the Chinese government are not fools. They will be making their own fabs and upgrading existing ones to replicate and exceed chip yield percentages etc.
This happened once, it can happen again. Huawei will not take the risk. It would be foolish to do so. They will keep pouring money into Harmony OS and their own structure to safeguard against this stuff. It is not like they are short of money. Their kirin processors are amazingly efficient and on Android, even their OS was very power efficient at times. Scarily so. However, their software and upgrades sent their older phones do lack a lot of polish and quality.
Ok Intel have fabs, this actually means if Huawei still have licence to use older ARM designs they could have more made with Intels 14nm++++++ (no clue how many pluses it is now geez) but anyhows they can maybe make a SoC again and still also make PCs! :D

The last time was when i accidentally dropped it faced down and thats when the screen got cut in half.

Intel was completely useless in soc market and long gone from market. Both Intel and AMD has no divisions for that and it will take years to do if they will decide to do that.
