So in the end- Huawei loses access to their own SOCs and are now dependant on US technology. Qualcomm get to keep their monopoly and Huawei survives another day.

Huawei flagships with Snapdragon SoCs doesn't sound bad to me. You get Huawei's exceptional camera hardware along with the best performance in the Android world. Sounds like a great combination.

So after all there is hope for Huawei to not exit the smartphone market(there where rumors about this possibility). If they can receive what they need to produce their phones, and using their own OS they could survive.

I m really hope Intel and AMD start producing SoC's for smartphones... And I think it's okay for Qualcomm and MTK to have SoC's in Hauwei devices. I hope Huawei continue strong... I see this as something very positive for Huawei right now.
