I admit it, I'm a Samsung fanboy. But what I don't understand is their strategy in product release within different world markets. For instance the new fe models come in different specifications, but in the British market place we are only getting the lowest end spec model. If this was a one off I wouldn't raise the issue but it's the same story as the Tab S7+ 5G, Samsung only issuing the lowest spec flagship tab but marketplaces like Portugal & Turkey get the more fully spec versions. Now I get why companies do this, it's to guarantee the product(s) will sell well in a given market and many financial factors come into play etc. I have Portuguese friends who tell me that the country is so poor because of corruption & mis-governance that ordinary people can't even afford a sustainable weakly shopping trip, never mind a top of the range computing device. Now I don't want to anger anyone but I do believe that Turkey is still involved in the Syrian conflict, not to mention the reported subjugation of some of it's peoples so good luck selling your top flagship devices in that market place Samsung. What we need is some investigate journalism, I wonder if anyone here knows of anyone who could do such a thing.
If phone don't have 1440p resolution of display or above, cannot be flagship! But note 4 from 2014 does!
Since the new Lite or FE editions also have the latest flagship chipset, but are cheaper, they're going to be my favourite devices
After removing the word "lite" they can casually increase the price
i'ts good that they now have so many versions. I unfortunately am not a fan any more, for so many reasons. I would need a Not A Fan Edition, I think this one is the last one missing.

I am using Samsung and since they're a big company, there is no such lagging problems
Anonymous, 24 Sep 2020600 to 800 what? If we're gonna go by RRP , here in the UK the note 10 lite sells for £529 RRP, S10 lite RRP £579 followed by the S20 Which retails for £899. Before the S20 FE was announced there was no "new phone" to occupy the price points between £600-£850 but the S20 FE fixes that being priced at £699. You could say the S10 series also cover's the £600-£800 bracket but as mentioned, there not new phones and won't get the same push as the other 2020 models.
Ranmaru Rei, 24 Sep 2020In Russia you can buy A71 for 26000 rubles, and S20 for 60000 rubles. Nothing inbetween. From ... morehere we have Note10 lite & S10 lite.
Downgraded cameras? I don't really think that real optical zoom will be worse than 64 MPx digital zoom

Plus I prefer the heft and feel of glass body and I'm in the minority in liking curved displays!
This is great! I think the s20 fe will do well especially the 5G variant as all regions now have access to Snapdragon as an option. Plus it's price pretty well considering the specs and will probably go on sale at some point. A foot in the right direction for Samsung
The First FE phone Samsung released was the Note 7 FE and it was a no compromise remake of the Note 7 minus the exploding battery. I'm down with more FE models
iOS Never Again, 23 Sep 2020Can somebody explain to me the point of this FE version? Why is Samsung polluting the flagshi... moreThis FE will find its use when the price will drop under 500 Euro (and it will drop soon enough), the street price of S20 5G is already 550 Euro, if you are lucky, even less. People get in Germany the phones for free if they extend their phone contracts and they sell them quite cheap to make quick money. Samsung is always a favourite.

Panda eyes, 23 Sep 2020Considering Apple are releasing an iPhone 12 mini, I can see Samsung reviving the mini line. if we could only hope

With the S line now commanding such high prices and the A series focusing on the mid range, they are missing out on phones withing the 600-800 price point. The only major OEM that focuses in this range is the one plus 8 and a select few Chinese phones. It's just another way for Samsung to monopolize every tier range.
