Well, Mi band 4 NFC is indeed on sale in Russia from June, however i cant say its big hit. List of banks isnt expanded much since launch day (one added several days after launch because was late with certification and one another added later, thats all). I feel its egg and chicken problem - peoples wait for banks to implement support and banks say "its not selling, why bother?".
Release of Mi band 5 and probable proximity of Mi band 5 NFC release also suppress sales (its not interesting upgrade for existing Mi band 4 owners (except they need NFC NOW, but again - not much banks support it) and other potential buyers also waiting for newer model, in China Mi band 5 NFC already present, most probably it will hit Russia too).
So, its deadlock for now. O hope release on Mi Band 5 NFC will push sales and push bank adoption which will benefit everyone.

ishreal, 24 Sep 2020I know this may be a hard piece of truth to accept, but almost every single piece of tech you ... moreNot sure about backdoor or spyware. But my Mi Band 3, forces me to give location to allow my bluetooth sync between phone/app and band. Not even for my trail/hiking, just to connect to app to see my sleeping pattern! Anyway, their sleep monitor is broken, it never really auto detect! It only detect within certain hours of the day. I guess this is they power-saving function written into device/app! But for me, who works a graveyard shift! Its has never tracked my sleep in 6 months. I end up getting a 2nd hand older model Fitbit Inspire. Sleep monitor works. And it doesn't need GPS to connect to bluetooth. Only need it when I want to track my trail/hikes.

Anders, 24 Sep 2020MasterCard only? No Visa or AMEX means this is useless for a lot of peopleYour lucky they even take Mastercard. Normally China product pushes their own payment system which most people can't apply for (Unionpay cards, Alipay e-wallet and WeChat Pay e-wallet). Or if they do take Visa/MC you get conned with a DDC scam of up to 8% markup.

YOLO, 24 Sep 2020Give Chinese government access to your credit card = suuuuuuure I know this may be a hard piece of truth to accept, but almost every single piece of tech you own was manufactured in China so if you go the full mile with your conspiracy theory, they could theoretically have all your bank information already because of backdoors and hackers, if this were true. Lucky for us you're just crazy and it isn't even remotely true.

The battery life for the Mi Smart Band 4 is excellent, with ~3 weeks on a single charge, even with pulse monitoring and call notifications (no app notifications, though). I wonder how big of an impact the NFC chip will have on battery life.

gop, 24 Sep 2020Europe have PSD2 no need for cards or third party intermediariesIt's a shame the NFC version hasn't launched in UK. U can get the CN version and use it in UK but when it comes to NFC it's pointless as because only very selected places supports alipay
