Anonymous, 28 Sep 2020I'm more excited about Mi 10 ultra (periscope 5x)
Or Oppo Find X2 pro (periscope 5x)
Or... moreI think you are better off buying a professional DSLR with 100x zoom lens considering your obsession with zooming..
No use comparing phones like Find x2, vivo x50 pro to the Samsung S20 series.
Aleduoaliga A A, 28 Sep 2020So india is getting the exynos variant this is not fan edition, by next year mid we might get ... moreI think they're waiting for the launch of 5G plans by one of the carriers Jio or Airtel, so they might launch the S20 FE 5G in the next 6 months. No use keeping a large stock here with no 5G plans, they'd rather sell in in Europe & N. America.
I'd suggest you wait 1 month for the launch of Asus Zenfone 7 Pro in India, it has a Samsung AMOLED+ 90 Hz panel, Snapdragon 865+ , 5K mAh battery & a great flip cam. Also, it will be atleast Rs. 10k cheaper the OP 8 Pro, which has screen tint( purple/green) issues & 1 out of the 4 quad cams has been disabled.
I am buying a Cherry Mobile, Huawei, my|phone, Oppo, Realme, TECNO, Vivo or maybe Xiaomi over these... :I

Samsung cheaping out on Gorilla glass 3.
AnonD-762416, 28 Sep 2020Plastic back or low end 60Hz Chinese display vs 120Hz latest gen AMOLED? I know what I'... moreLow end 60Hz Chinese display? Excuse me?
So india is getting the exynos variant this is not fan edition, by next year mid we might get 5th generation network _._ and why not snapdragon for this one time -_- after lumia i have been using samsung but now i will move on and wait for apple or one plus... bad news for indians
SathishKannan, 27 Sep 2020LOL, India gets exynos variant! That's why friend bought OnePlus and my uncle iphone SE .
Anonymous, 28 Sep 2020Oops, just saw info is updated and there's no 3.5mm jack. So, FE=Fail edition. Zero interest. You may can't afford it or you are a hater. (I am xiaomi fan)
You don't like this phone just for the 3.5 jack?????!!!!!!!!!
Did you see the specs? I bet you didn't
Zed, 28 Sep 2020We are only getting the Exynos model in Australia so no FE got me.
Isn't the 5G model snapdragon?
Edit: Yes, it's listed as such.
Samsung has launched FE in India again with the crap called Exynos. I do not understand what is the strategy of Samsung. Never buy any model with Exynos. And I have used the word "crap", trust me it is too respectable as compared to its performance. Samsung should launch its product with same processor in every country. SAMSUNG PLEASE STOP THIS STEP MOTHER TREATMENT OR ELSE YOU WOULD BE WIPED OUT OF INDIA LIKE SONY, HTC etc etc.
Alex 94, 27 Sep 2020Pocophone f2 pro, OnePlus nord, mi 10 lite 5g, redmi note 9 pro, realme 6, realme 6 pro, realm... moreYou must be joking... only the poco f2 pro has the same Soc...
MrBing, 28 Sep 2020And let me know which two of the phones sell better, $50 phone user.
Plastic back? Yuck!Plastic back or low end 60Hz Chinese display vs 120Hz latest gen AMOLED?
I know what I'm looking at 100% of the time I'm using a phone.
Hint: It's not the back.
Mar52, 27 Sep 2020I'm in the US and today 9/26 Amazon has the 5g model Snapdragon 865 processer for 599.00 ... moreI would go for S20 FE SD version for $599 over OnePus 8T and Pixel 5 if I were living in the US. But in India OnePlus 8T will surely undercut S20 FE’s price while offering SD865 as standard. Pixel 5 or even Pixel 4a 5G won’t be coming to India. So, OnePlus 8T will be the only sensible choice here.

Well it's a step in the right direction with 3.5mm jack and lower price, but still too expensive for me and Exynos is a huge power hog. I'd still prefer a Xiaomi in the middle or upper middle range for 300 to 450 Euro.
I have heard lots of complaints about the 5g s20 series, having crappy battery life. I don't predict that the 5g s20 fe models will differ much in terms of battery endurance from the standard 5g s20 models. If I was going to get a 5g model, I would wait 3 to 5 years to allow for better 5g coverage and better battery efficient optimization. My 4g S10e has decent battery life, considering it contains Qualcomm's 1st attempt at a 7nm SoC. I intend to keep it, for at least 2 more years, especially as Samsung's so called flagship models have mostly ditched 3.5 mm headphone jacks as of late. I am not sure what brand of handset, my next model will be, actually.
