One plus is no longer what it used to be.

Higher prices, less features !

I guess their parent company, Oppo dont like competition.

KwantowyYebaka, 25 Sep 2020Read the article, the oneplus technology heats up the charger not the batteries so nothing bad... moreYes , in the VooC devices, most of the circuitry it's in the charger to avoid faster thermal buildup on the battery. You will still kill the battery faster than a slower but still plenty fast for the average user 25-30W one, because of the higher C rate, and 0-100% is 1.5C when the average li-ion chemistry perform better at up to 1C , that's why a model 3 even on a 250kW charger takes around 55-1hour to go from 0 to 100% (with buffers and liquid cooling).

When other manufacturers are working and developing phones with 100 and 125watts one plus is still way behind still boasting about their yet to come 8T with rubbish camera considering 2020 standard and their high price tag. Very bad cost to performance and now using cheap quality items with less R&D. They are loosing their customers like me. OnePlus stop doing nonsense and bring something good instead of the hype. People are not fools.

KwantowyYebaka, 25 Sep 2020Read the article, the oneplus technology heats up the charger not the batteries so nothing bad... moreYes sirrrr! All VOOC/SuperVOOC/Warp/Dart charge at 5V which requires little effort for the phone to accept at its 4.4V operating voltage. All other charging standards up both voltage and current...Then those poor phones have to work hard to stepdown the voltage to 4.4V (Lots of heat). The new SuperVOOC/Warp65 charges two batteries at 5V in parallel to effectively charge at "10V" without any heat.

AnonD-923722, 25 Sep 2020If it is $599, than i will accept the : 1. Gimmick quad cameras 2. No wireless charging 3. ... moreFrom what you wrote, it follows once again that there will be no wireless charging, so for me this phone loses its raison when you can buy s20 FE a much more complete smartphone without the risk of problems as in the case of Huawei

Anyway, I use different mobile phones and I have never had a problem with damaging the battery, you need to learn how to use charging for example, you don't let your battery run down below 30%

One plus must provide memory expansion ( Micro SD card slot). Otherwise it's not worthy to buy.

If it is $599, than i will accept the :
1. Gimmick quad cameras
2. No wireless charging
3. No headphone jack
4. No microsd or IR Blaster
5. No 512 GB top model

But if it starts at $799, the Oneplus 8T is an trash phone.
