Shanti Dope, 27 Sep 2020125W? Really insane.
Even electric car vehicles are charged at 100W only.
I mean, sure it... moreNow the most crucial question comes.
what are people gonna do with their salvaged extra 20/30 minutes from 125W fast charging?
MrBing, 27 Sep 2020This is why despite Oppo was the first to come up with the idea of 125W, it was Xiaomi which i... moreI would understand. Maybe Oppo just wanted to be more certain that this concept wouldn't badly fail and cause major harm to consumers before implementing it on a commercial product.
And I really wouldn't like to use it on a 4000-ish mAh battery phone either. That's like running at 80kph on a rural street road; truly risky to do so. Not that I'm against faster charging, but if it means shortening the battery's capacity even further, then I'd be better off with a standard and adequately fast enough fast charger.
Strawhat, 27 Sep 2020You can use slower charger (10w/18w)Not like there's a control from the phone or the charger to it, but ok.

AnonD-920712, 27 Sep 2020did anybody know what is the consequences of 125 W superfast charging?
Did anybody guess that... moreThe battery can degrade even faster than before if you are not using properly. And yes, a higher or faster rate means more heat and potentially even shorter battery life.
To me, superfast charging makes sense if you have a battery with a really big capacity. Just look at Samsung Galaxy M51 - it has a whopping 7,000mAh battery but only a puny 25W charging rate. That resulted in 115 minutes of charge time from 0. Just imagine how much the charging time can drop if the phone has a way higher charging rate.

But even realme can't get its newer models right. Realme 6 with LCD screen has burn-in or retention issue for instance (happens to several users), where's the quality control?

Sorry if a bit insulting, but interviews like this are pointless.
1. Realme releases a LOT of models to confuse buyers, flood the market, produce more e-waste, and phone value depreciates quickly.
2. Realme cannot even provide reliable customer support and software to users.
3. Oh, he has been caught tweeting from an iPhone

And his excuse is dishonest. Funny. 😃
I don't understand how autofocus on front camera will increase thickness of smartphone, GSMARENA could explain it better
Cyan111111, 27 Sep 2020“To enable autofocus on the front camera, the thickness or the battery will be compromised”.
... moreExactly. What an absolute load of horsesh*t interview, I can't believe gsmarena even publishes such garbage. "Number series, the youth flagship covering INR10k to 20k; X series, the ultimate flagship" - did he really just say that? That e.g. Realme 7 is a youth "flagship"? Or that e.g. Realme X2 with its 730G chipset was the "ultimate flagship"?
I feel like my IQ dropped a point after reading all that PR bullsh*t. Please stop publishing this trash.

125 watt charger!really??It will be a mini bomb.
125W? Really insane.
Even electric car vehicles are charged at 100W only.
I mean, sure it's good for progress, but they didn't bother explaining the bad effects. YEP, there are still side effects to extremely high wattage charging habit.
Even 65W already seems too much, are they really intending to destroy their phone batteries really fast?
Anyway, before anyone else does, I'm already expecting conflicting replies to my statement, defending these bad charging habits to promote shorter product lifespan.
Not gonna argue though. They're free to believe in that.
Just 2 questions? would expect interviews to be longer
Growing product lineup... Now releasing 55 product series with 300 product launches every month! DARE TO FLIP
Well said! Also consumers love macro camera and hate AMOLED display so much so that u flood the market with such phones - oh why? To satisfy the needs of the consumers it seems ----as pointed out by ur market research team
