LOW resolution backlight is what causes poor blacks..
If a back light can have light sources as small as a pixel behind every pixel then PROBLEM SOLVED!!
As we make leds smaller we can make backlights more dense and it will mimic OLED contrast etc.. miniled and beyond will fix this
This is already possible today DUAL CELL LCD can already achieve this

WOLED (white OLED) TV panels manufactured by LG Display are dead end tech (like was plasma), and that's why nobody else developed it. Also LG.D was losing a lot of money for years (until 2019) and their LCD business subsidized it.
There are varios problems with OLED TVs but reviewers won't tell you.
- high frenquency PWM is mandatory
- burn in (warranty doesn't cover it as you didn't use "properly" TV)
- black crash (a bit diferent from VA LCD black crash)
- banding
- video stuttering at 24p
- lower power efficiency the higher brightness is +
- high brightness degradation
=> that's why they use "famous" ABL which depending on what's on the screen can pretty much ruin viewing experience
- and that means they can't properly show HDR
TL; DR
OLED TVs are great if you only watch SDR dark movies and series, and even then you have to live with black crush.

Common Or have we all forgotten the Tri-luminous Display from Sony??? That is further Finetuned with bravia image Engine ??

It's still cool But we are waiting for the final product.....

Why always using QLED as example to say about quantum dots?
It's been around for many years before samsung starts using.
Even Lg is able to apply to oled, samsung is not.

Keep thinking that LCD is an ageing technology
There is Qned,Dual cell and even microled/LCD hybrid coming all LCD technologies even OLCD (yes flexible LCD)
Keep living in your smartphone bubble believing that OLED is the greatest technology you are sadly mistaken OLED is dead end technology it will never overcome organic limitations
