L.O.R.D, 29 Sep 2020The prices vary by region of course, but they're under $700 at a lot of places currently,... moreIn my country that Asus phone is 750$. So like that guy said, don't know where you are living. And I would personally not buy an Asus phone because the updates come very slow or not at all, I haven't seen any support for custom roms and their prices go down very fast in time. I would go for a Oneplus phone. Not going to pay so much money on a plastic phone. The hell is this ? S2, S3 era all over again ?
Misfit2Fields, 29 Sep 2020Have to cut prices somewhere. 120 hz screen Big battery Flagship chip Flagship cameras ... moreIs gorilla glass 3 a major deal breaker? How does it compare to gg 5?
Deal-breaker is the Exynos chipset for 4G version and only Gorilla Glass 3 front panel with a plastic back. Otherwise this phone is alright. Samsung is also rolling out some trade-in programs in certain countries, so that' help.
Glass back still seems silly.
Without a case it is slippery as hell so everyone puts it in some case or another. Which makes that highly prized 'premium' feel totally obsolete at best.
Anonymous, 29 Sep 2020if I can buy the snapdragon s20+, would I buy s20 FE or s20+?s20+
the s20 FE is aiming to those who cant get the snapdragon chip of the s20 versions.
if u can get s20+ SD so go for it.

A very bad company selling phones with faulty chargers
In my opinion 700 euro it's very expensive for this phone.

Doesn't matter if it has a plastic back (coz almost everyone will use it with a plastic back cover). It has necessary stuff which matters like SD865, sample storage 128GB (& that too Expandable), huge quality display 120hz, stereo speakers, IP68, quality cameras & huge 4500 mah battery (easily a 1½ day reliable phone).
Even S10 lite was excellent & I would have preferred it if it had steroid speakers & IP68.
Currently rocking Samsung galaxy S10+.
muss, 29 Sep 2020I would pay $100 extra for the newest gorilla glass vitious..too bad that isn't an option... moreYou could just put a screen protector on it.
Misfit2Fields, 29 Sep 2020Have to cut prices somewhere.
120 hz screen
Big battery
Flagship chip
Flagship cameras
... moreIf I recall Gorilla Glass 3 is more scratch resistant than Gorilla Glass 5/6.
Whereas Gorilla Glass 5/6 have better shatter proof properties than Gorilla Glass 3.
There are 2 excellent reasons for a plastic back. First, easy access to the battery for when it needs to be replaced. Second, in recognition of the fact that the bling factor of a glass back is immediately rendered a useless expense as soon as the phone acquires a protective case, the purchaser of such a device can reasonably expect a more down to earth price.
Anonymous, 29 Sep 2020But with Stereo Speakers I don't think it's a dealbreaker...you can always buy bluet... moreYes, You can, but all of these need charging, normal wired headphones with 3,5 mm jack has better sound quality and no need to charge, just plug and play always.
Screen is OK.
So is the camera.
Chipset is just great (SnapDragon instead of Exynos).
IP68 is awesome.
Big battery is great.
Plastic back is OK.
Not so great:
120Hz screen battery drain
5G battery drain
4G model is Exynos one
It lacks:
Headphone jack
In my opinion they could do these steps to lower the price further:
No fingerprint scanner under display.
60Hz refresh rate.
No reverse wireless charging because seriously, does anyone ever use that? Also it's just 4.5W so it's very underwhelming.

That being said female tech enthusiasts luckily exist too and I agree this site should remember them too.
Also, there is probably plenty of girls/women browsing on here to see what phone to get.
