mart, 30 Sep 2020Oh, I have this stupid old HDR 4k television that does NOT have an USB-C input. I assume the point is the circular dongle has the small usb-C (previous models had micro-USB as do Roku FireTV etc) that connects from that one small end to the usual regular bigger male/female USB-A connection, that every TV and computer and wall charger all have.
So your TV also doesn't have or need what you're mistaking aka a micro-USB connection or usb-C connection -- get it?
mart, 30 Sep 2020Oh, I have this stupid old HDR 4k television that does NOT have an USB-C input. Don't need a type-C port on your TV, just a C-A cable. It used to be micro-USB on the older models.

Where can I order / preorder the new chromecast at? Just need it
and and and there is support for Dolby Atmos "tracking" so we know what you do, speak, think, 24/7/365.
Nahh, thanks.

I believe that's called "Nvidia Shield".
Anders, 29 Sep 2020I don't know why anyone bought the Mi TV stick when 1, it only had 1080p resolution and 2... moreFist because of the form factor (disappointing heat dissipation and performance though). Second because 1080P is all i needed from the form factor. Third because was less than 40$ in my country (close to 30$ now if ordered from China). In my country we don't have official Google distribution channels so something like Chromecast 3 is ~44$ instead of 30$ so the new Android TV version we'll be more than 70$ here, not 50.
Still will buy it at a sale sometimes and get rid of stupid Mi TV Stick. Mi Box S was a great product by comparison though...

But even with its inferior design I think at $49 it's a good buy

wifi is not enough, 29 Sep 2020without Ethernet option via usb dongle it's not worth my money Look for something else :)
Ugghhh... really hate those dongle design because of that hanging cable. Why don't I see a much more powerful version of Xiaomi's Mi TV Stick? If I can have that Chromecast spec in a USB stick, that would be epic.

Abbey is the code name for remote duhh .
RIP Mi TV Stick. Sold my old Mi Box to get the stick because I used to take my Mi Box in holidays with me and at home the old TV I use it with is FHD anyways.
Worst decision ever: it's slow and it overheads even while just streaming Youtube or Netflix and sometimes stutters while streaming also.
I will sell it or move it to the TV in the kitchen and get the new Chromecast.
The remote does in fact have an IR blaster actually. You're able to use it to change the TV's actual volume, power it on and off, and change the input even while not really using the Chromecast itself yet (In the settings, you can change between the IR blaster method, or the other)
The USB-C port is for power, not for peripherals. You plug it to the TV or to an outlet like you have with previous Chromecasts.
