no more buying these heavy bricks.. i dropped my buying spree by -80% this year as there's NOTHING on the market. Mi10, 1+8, and the rest is heavy. And way too expensive, literally insane prices. Perfect pre-crisis pumping of prices. You'll beg for my money later. Originally was looking forward to 1+8T with popup cam, Qi, but they did the mistake to skip their great release cycle with proper choices, so i change my quarterly phone plan to biyearly.

    Good
    They overestimates their brand value
Display issues along with high price was the main reason 8 pro sales never took off
They need to rethink their flagship strategy marketwise

7 pro is a better phone anyway - pop-up cam and no unnecessary 5g.

Seeing how little the improvement of the 7T Pro compared to the 7 Pro, this is definitely a welcome decision.

People should buy the OnePlus 8 Pro if they want a real flagship, according to Pete Lau.... ...but I hate the curved screen and poor browsing life (battery) of OnePlus 8 Pro.

L.O.R.D, 29 Sep 2020Perhaps no one would like to spend close to a thousand bucks on it, especially when there'... moreDon't be silly, it's not like you list your second-handed item on eBay and a dude just pops up with much better price and you have withdraw your stuff. We're talking about millions of units here, if there won't be an 8T pro then it must have been decided months, maybe a year ago even.

It would have been a great opportunity to make another phone with a pop up like the 7(t) Pro, you know, because it is a highly requested feature to bring back and because diversity isn't only a word...
It could have been the first to have a flat display + fulldisplay OnePlus, could have taken this opportunity to make some other changes too, but no, it would have been too nice for the customers to make a good phone...

They won't need to upgrade their flagship killer every 6 months anymore because their flagship killer has become a flagship in price

Of course there will be no "Pro" model this time, because they will introduce the "Ultra", because everyone has one.
